Neat concept, but I found moving around to each place in the brain somewhat slow.

viktorthegreat 2023-10-02 22:48

I like the concept, and the art is very cool and crisp. I was so caught off guard by the title screen, too. In a good way. But I also feel that such a unique mechanic needs more explanation in the beginning.

Also, I think I encountered a bug where if you're in build mode and you try placing it too close to the brain cell, it just disappears and you can't reselect it.

Its a cool concept, pretty difficult to figure out a good setup to react quickly to things

I opened the game, I saw the title screen, rolled around on the floor for a good minute or two from laughter, started playing the game, got quite a bit far, died, proceeded to wheeze even more, tried again, had fun, it was great! Then I was writting this comment when I realized something, tested it and laughted even more, this game is the epitome of humor! Now some things I noticed: -the title music doesn't loop and just abruptly stops... -that's about it actually, very fun game!

bluedandelion 2023-10-04 12:50

Well this game is quite something.

First off the concept is very unique and creative and the art and music is also great, including the intro (pls, if you could, tell me what palette you used, I am curious) but as you already know and as some people have mentioned, it is rather hard to get used to the mechanics and to react to dangers

wolderado 2023-10-04 13:12

Super unique concept implemented perfectly

arvis 2023-10-04 13:44

Very fun game and concept, it was very hard though with the current controls. For me it would have been nice if the controls were: W - jump

A - move left

D - move right

S - energize

B - build

got to the part where you had to crawl ( didnt get the gene ) and kind of lost from losing water ( I think ) :D

That's creativity at its peak, congrats! Maybe the platforming part could be a bit more slow-paced because it can be really challenging, especially with the cactus and crows. Anyway, a unique game with a one-of-a-kind mechanic, nice job!

peco 2023-10-05 04:24

Hehe really cool! Also pretty nice feeling controls for something that requires lots of steps~ [spoiler] love that you can jump out of the brain :D

blaer 2023-10-05 09:40

Love the idea! And also love the sugar engine! When will you release it?

tanis 2023-10-07 09:58

I can't even imagine how you come up with this concept  It can get really complicated with this guy... and I wonder what happened to his trousers... Nice entry! Grats!

fatemperor 2023-10-08 18:50

A very unusual mix of genres. A complete walkthrough of the game sounds like a worthy test. Nice game.

loiclegrosfrere 2023-10-08 21:45

I think I've only got one neuron too, because I got stuck on the title screen (because I didn't know the keys  )

Apart from that, I liked the concept, and I like the details (like the neuron leak) As it's a bit difficult, especially when you have to manage oxygen, I think checkpoints would be a good idea: I really wanted to finish the game, but since I got mauled by a raven later (which killed me instantly, with full-life, maybe it's a bug) redoing the whole path with the brain organization would take me too much time/energy to do it...

Intressting gamemechanic! I like it. Keep implementing these type of ideas.

Is there a way to go to the main/exit menu from within a run? The esc/backspace menu only has a back button.

localphilosopher 2023-10-15 19:33

Wow! That's the most unusual control I've ever seen.

romkoz 2023-10-15 19:38

Man, that's really creative and fun game. Great work
