It must be true that the void being infinite also fills all space, and therefore the Void is still limited by space?!

Amazing little game, it hangs together really well, is unexpectedly complex, rewarding when you fathom a move that's in the future, and doesn't have an obvious endpoint (how much further could I go, If I keep compacting will I end up with more and more office supplies? Will it become a building? What will it be!
I also love that this ran on Linux!!! Void you Star! Void star? Black hole? Sir, this is just awesome, thank you for giving me something new and challenging to play with!

@tolmera Woah there! Is this even legal? I'm the psychotic ghost thing, that writes borderline nonsense thinly veiled as commentary spiked with pseudo philosophical musings. This is a patented scheme! I'm calling the police! You will be hearing from my lawyers! In fact I'll be going to the library to do legal research right now!
Thank you for playing ;) sadly the piles only crazy at unreasonable scores.

For a 2048 clone it's pretty good, tho harder to read because no large numbers, but it looks more pleasant to have proper sprites of increasing trash volume! Also I see you started using Godot too! I'm pretty new to the engine myself but I can say that it's simple and fun to use so you will get the hang of it quickly, but for a first project this is awesome!
12.jpg Solid little game. I like controls, didn't see that version.

There's a message here with the trash compactor crushing so many recycling containers, but I'm not sure what it is...
Interesting take on 2048! It seems somewhat easier than the original in that pressing an arrow key will spawn new items regardless of whether anything actually moved, which allows you to avoid having to slide things away from the "hot corner" and risk something spawning there. It would have been really nice to have a sliding animation, though, since it can be disorienting when items move and spawn at the same time. It would have also been great to have some sound to accompany the little smoke animation!
Neat little puzzle game. Good work!
It's been ages since I've played 2048 so this was a really fun reminder of that game for me! (I got to 540 points ^^)
While the sprites are nice and fit the vibe, I feel like some of them are slightly too similar and caused me to make some mistakes while moving - perhaps they could benefit from a 2048-style number in the corner, or on hover? regardless, a good first game with Godot! (I am also a friendship-ended-with-Unity guy haha)
Very neat concept! Screenshots look so overwhelming but the actual game is very neat!

It's a pretty good 2048 clone. The art is both the best and the worst part of it. On one hand, it is far more fun to see the piles growing instead of the numbers on 2048, on the other their readability on some piles leave a bit to be desired.
Overall, good work mate!

Well done. Spent quite some time on it. I've played a bit '2048' and 'threes!'. The gameplay is well implemented. Some sound and animations would of course be fun. In the beginning I found it a bit confusing what levels of objects came in what order so it would have been helpful to have a little number on each tile to show what level it was.
Very fun little game! I love how you interpreted the theme, and the game is very polished, feels really good to play. I was trying to get a better score to see what the trash would become after being more and more compacted X) Keep up the good work!
Oh, I'm terrible at 2048. It's pretty fun compacting away though, the poof animation and trash piles look pretty nice, although they could be a bit more visually distinct (for example, color graded).
Used to love playing 2048 back in the day and this is a very cool take on it. Works really well for the theme as well. Great job!
