I played until 1850 points. It is a bit unfair that i can run a lot while the red dot can only move one space. It reminds me a bit of the early protolife game :D I would like it a lot if there would be a tactical purpose to reproducing like blocking the way. Good job!

Clever idea for the theme! I wish it felt a bit more fast paced, or easy to control. Once I got an idea of moving and trying to beat the enemy to resources, it felt like I was just sloooowly trying to build up my territory. Could be interesting if the dots you drop continued to grow and spread, so the dish filled up quicker. Could then imagine multiple levels and different kinds of enemy bacteria to compete against.
Nice Concept, good job!
Very nice game, pretty basic but thats fine. Had to stop myself playing lest I get addicted lol. Pretty unbalanced because I'm so much faster than red team but yeah its fun.
I like the concept! I would love to see my progeny multiplying, or having some level of simple and slow ai behaviors. neat!

This is a cool concept and a good execution for one person. There's definitely a mobile game in there somewhere!
Cool game!
Expecting some automation of the heir bacterias XD
Fun game. Played for like 10 minutes and we've still only taken up like 10% of the board. I trapped the other bacteria in a corner of the dish but it went to the top and pushed all the other things on the dish downwards. Maybe I'll try trapping it again, but in the middle instead of the edges and see what happens. (edit: i set up a trap in the middle and it said i won so that's cool)

really simple but satisfying game! ended up playing for longer than I intended haha. It would be fun to see this expanded upon (maybe the dots you put down can "expand" over time, and speed up the gameplay)

Reminds me a little bit of the boardgame Go. I think the map being smaller would lead to the pace feeling a bit faster and more tactical instead of just racing around grabbing the food before the opponent can.
Good job on doing the compo, I have a lot of respect for people who complete it. This was a fun and innovative take on the theme. I'd only suggest to make the dots bigger, at least two times and maybe even four times as big, and that would make the game loop go by faster. My fingers were getting really tired by the end with all that key pushing.

This feels to me like a dynamic-Go game, where players play in real-time (maybe you mentions this in your design writeup above). Through that lense, it's a very good execution: well paced, interesting enough to take this further as a full-fleshed game. I'd be very interested in the emergent properties of this simulation with more bacteria, etc. Good theme choice for microbes. Good luck!
Hey, a fellow petri dish game! Nice idea for an area control game. I see you already have some ideas for how to expand on the idea which is good as I do think it would benefit to have a slightly higher pace and some more progression as the game goes on.
