An entertaining little game with some potential. The silly aesthetic is helping the mood, especially zombies curving to catch me sometimes.
Space bar being used for shooting also would sometimes pick my upgrades the moment they popup since I would be pressing the button franctically xD Sometimes my shot direction gets stuck to the right regardless of where I am moving which makes things harder.
There are some minor bugs, but this game is fun to play.

It has good potential but isn't the smoothest experience.
Congrats on your first jam! It gets a lot easier each time you do it. Props on managing to get anything submitted at all, but extra props for submitting a working game that even has volume sliders :D I love volume sliders.
The game was simple in a good way, didn't have to do a bunch of research to get going, just run and shoot. The only real complaint I have is just that sometimes I wouldn't shoot in the direction the character was facing. All around a really solid first entry. Keep at it!

Nice, congratulations on your first entry!
Nice little vampire-survivor-like game, I enjoyed it! One small problem is that when I pressing two movement buttons together the correct direction I'm facing isn't correctly showing on the visuals, so that makes it a bit confusing, I think several lines of code could fix that!
Awesome job, especially for a first entry. There's definitely a really solid gameplay core, with only a couple major issues, both of which PowerOfSin mentioned.
One is that the shooting direction seems to be tied to the direction you're currently moving, not on your inputs, which makes it more difficult because you have to be moving towards the zombies in order to shoot them. It also seems to default to shooting right when you're not moving, which means that you have to be constantly moving to shoot any direction other than right. The other issue is that the shoot button (space) also closes the powerup menu, which meant that most of the time I wasn't actually picking the upgrade I got and was instead just accidentally picking the default one.
Aside from those two things, you've definitely got a solid game here. I especially love the mechanic of having to balance between making it easier to fight the zombies and giving yourself more time to fight. One interesting thing I thought of is that if you get upgrades after killing a certain number of zombies but the circle closes based on time, then theoretically you would never want to take the fewer zombies powerup because that would actually mean fewer powerups in the future.

I'm a huge fan of these types of games and this is a solid gameplay core. I won't be a broken record, but what @powerofsin and @tubadude99 said are the two issues I had with the game as well, I did notice that upon death the music would double up in the main menu. Didn't stop it from being an enjoyable experience! Good job on your first entry! Oh and the pew pew sound effect when you shot was great, I loved that.
