Enjoyed this one! Nice entry.
Very nice game :)
Graphics and music are really good and fitting! My Highscore was 95.031
Unfortunately I have a bug on my end where the mouse sensitivity is extremely high. Changing it in windows doesn't change it ingame for me, so it was really hard to do much, as I was spinning out of control most of the time.
The surrounding space scene was really cool. I don't know how the cube fits into this lore-wise, but it somehow felt right, haha.
I enjoyed getting upgrades and becoming more powerful - wish I could've played more, but the mouse issue made it too hard for me. If this is fixed I would come back and try it again for sure.
Hope you had a fun jam! :3
@im-not-a-robot Thanks so much for playing
making a settings menu for sound and sensitivity etc was on top of the to do list the entire jam i think but I always thought I'll do it later until I ran out of time.
Currently the game is broken in the editor. Trying to do a webgl build corrupted the project. I have some backups from noon last day so I'll try to reinstate everything and do a post jam version with fixes.
A quick fix would be changing the dpi setting of your mouse
@ausstein I can't change my DPI I think, or if I can, I'm not sure how as I've been on a backup mouse for a while now.
Settings always fall through the cracks for me as well - a mute button was on my mind for three days, but it never got done sadly.
Oh well, I was still able to enjoy your game a lot, even with cursed sensitivity.
Had to play this one again after stream and was able to get further. This game is chaotic! I enjoyed the aesthetics and the music was really nice and fitting. Like mentioned before the mouse was super sensitive but it wasn't too bad.
Overall solid entry. Great job!
Love that descent feel! Fuck yeah https://youtu.be/bMXv17gTKWE
This game is quite nice - rather simple and interesting, although my laptop couldn't really handle it when more spheres started appearing (even worse when streaming lol) - it went downhill very quickly from there
Someone has already mentioned the problem with high sensitivity. I personally even use lower mouse sensitivity than most people I's say, so I see that as potential problem for some players.
Other than that - interesting take on the theme!
@im-not-a-robot
Post Jam with sensitivity slider is there :)
I have come to the conclusion that if I look at 1 area for more than 20 seconds, that the space behind me will have become completely filled with spheres xD Fun game, my only thoughts were sensitivy (which you've already covered) and SHOOT FASTAAA.. but that last one is deffo a me thing
The spheres... they're everywhere...
Enjoyed it very much. I like the extremely short rounds and infinite replayability. Could make a good waiting-for-the-bus time-waster if put on mobile.
I'm glad I don't have claustrophobia! :)
Apart from the mouse sensitivity this is a very polished jam entry with fun gameplay! Well done!
omg, great game! Had a lot of fun. The explosion even has a slow motion, and the experience was so smooth. It took me some time to get used to the 360 degree fps. The attack speed is also on the beat if I press and hold. And if I focus on one direction, it will surprises me with full of spheres at my back (space gets limited). Really love the game. Well done!
Really enjoyed the game, deciding which upgrades to take and trying out different approaches with them. Would have loved some more feedback on the impact of shots, because I was often not sure if I hit a sphere or not. Well done!
Very nice interpretation of the theme. Loved the music and artwork <3
All in all a very nicely put together game. Well done!
Is a good game, but feel a little boring, only in a room some monotonous, maybe you can design a few more, the painting style is very good, I like it.
Really really good. Awesome theme and fitting music.
Great work! I really enjoyed the music and the different power ups! Made me really aim for the blue ones to see which powerups there were. I guess I'm a little underwhelmed with the power-ups themself. Most where just a little stat change (which was not really noticeable). I think they might pack a bit more punch. So the fire rate makes you fire a lot faster. You could then scale the stacks non-linear, so they become less useful the more you have if balancing is an issue.
The speed at which the spheres grow is a little intense I think, I got to 90.000 points but at that point there was really nothing I could do anymore. Even though I shot at all the blue orbs I could see. Is the game still playable (and beatable) after that?
I was a bit confused by the timer. It seems to increase when you kill spheres, but after a restart it doesn't reset properly? I was playing the JAM version (1.04).
Anyway, great job overall! The game looks really nice, and the controls are all right. A bit floaty at the start but eventually you get used to it!
@ayxs Thank you so much for the detailed review!
Actually there is a bug with some of the upgrades in the jam version. Everything that does not have a base value of 1 does get way smaller upgrades than intended. Those are: bullet speed, fire rate, and movement speed. Maybe I forgot some more. This has been fixed in the post jam.
The game is a Highscore style game. There is no "beating" the game. And as such it is designed in a way that you will loose eventually. With the right upgrades you can go on for a long time though. The best strategies I have found involve the bombs. Luck to spawn more of them, growth to make them grow quicker, explosion power to increase their blast radius. If you get the right power ups you can get very satisfying bomb chain reactions. Balancing is still an issue, you can become very overpowered and the game will become boring. Eventually the spawn rate will catch up and you will loose but it's not a fun experience once you get past a few million points. The post jam is slightly better but still has balancing issues.
The jam version has a bug where the green time spheres and blue point spheres are still collected after you die and get applied as soon as you start the next game. This is also patched in the post jam.
One thing that might not be really well explained in general: The spheres are growing and will divide once they reach twice their initial size. Hence the name "Multiplosphere". So it can also be smart not to take the upgrades, bombs and gold spheres immediately but wait for them to multiply first.
interesting game... I went crazy for a while and had fun. I found the controls too sensitive, but you could get used to it
good entry
This was a really fun and chaotic game. I had some trouble with the UI arrangement due to playing on an ultrawide (32:9) screen. Namely, I could never pick the middle upgrade because the list of taken upgrades was blocking the button to choose it. Still, the game was very playable without that choice. The music was particularly fitting, as well as the scene outside your little cube.
the game is very interesting, I liked it, the idea is good, continue at the same pace and you will become more professional
