Super fun game!

The driving physics are pretty wild but in a fun goofy way. I couldn't figure out where to go, so maybe an arrow at the top of the screen pointing players in the right direction could be handy. The unstuck button did work for me which was a nice feature. I also would have enjoyed audio, but it can be hard to fit every thing in for a game jam. Cool game!

Pretty fun, and good visuals, too!

Nice work! I love the fast paced movement and simple gameplay, but i gotta say the camera work was a little too funky for me. All in all a pretty fun and replayable experience, great work!

I thought the car physics were fun and weighty. The camera jerking was a little bit tough on the senses, but otherwise a nice delivery game! I never managed to get a very high score, 60 seconds isn't a lot of time.

Fantastic voice acting

@braveskin @bo-dangles @larryv apologies for the camera, couldn't quite fine tune it with the driving, tried to use configurable joints for a day, but had to call it quits for the wheel colliders and lost more time than I would have liked trying to get them workable. Thanks for trying it

For anyone having audio issues or screen issues, it seems the itch.io version is a little more stable (probably due to the sheer volume of traffic here right now)

Fun game! The driving controls were a little rough. Many times I would be driving forward, and wanted to go in reverse, but even the reverse button would accelerate forward. I think I had to go to a complete stop for the reverse button to actually back me up? But driving around despite that was fun, the pre-game menu and sounds were great, and I found even just driving around the town to see what you built was pretty fun too. Good job!

I love the voice recordings <3

Not sure if it was by design, but the turn speed was REALLY slow, especially on the tractor. Like it took several seconds for the wheels to change direction. But the turn speed was almost instant when the camera changed direction, which was really disorienting, like the car would 180 almost instantly. I played it on stream if you want to watch: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1811571328 at around 2:35

The voice over is really good and the car going straight forward has a good feeling.

shimmerscale 2023-05-05 21:36

Pretty fun! The controls were a bit difficult to work with, though. Sometimes when I would try to go forwards, it would go backwards, and vice versa. Other than that, I like it!

Very ambitious! It's like Crazy Taxi with food, and it took me a while to realise the title's reference. I'm surprised you managed to include multiple cars, a menu which seems like it could support multiple maps with the 3D preview, a variety of delivery items, and of course the top-notch voiceover. The presentation is nice, and the sheer amount of content is impressive considering the time-frame. That in mind, I would try to prioritise the core gameplay first, as the driving and camera could use some tuning, as you're aware. I was getting a bit motion sick. My main advice for next time would be to scope down a bit so you're given time to polish. That said, I'm impressed that you even managed to deliver a minimum viable product (and then some!) over a weekend.

Well done!

Ps. My highscore was 384 (if I recall)

really nicely polished game, but i think it would be nice to have manual camera controls, unfortunately it's a little laggy for me

kingzero 2023-05-09 13:51

Good visuals but the camera control makes me dizzy :D.

The visual aesthetics of this game are stunning. The meticulously crafted environments and beautifully rendered landscapes make exploration a delight
