I love that you can spawn camp girls in this game. Fun game overall! I like how satisfying it is to "harvest" multiple things in a swipe. One possible improvement could be something like making squirrels faster, or just creating more chaos in general. Overall, great game!

I love the art and sound design! The tutorial was also done really well. I think gameplay gets a ~little~ dull after a bit, and I think it would be cool if we could get some more weapons or variety!
Really cool and funny concept! Making the children and squirrels run away faster after consecutive plantings would be more challenging after the initial play. Overall, really cool concept and nice art. The slashing sound are satisfying.
Well it is refreshing to see a game where you can kill children. Very bare bones though, but the art is nice.
Short and sweet! I loved the cute artstyle and the phoenix!
I loved the music, sounds, art, and idea. The Phoenix crop felt super satisfying when you start to stack and harvest multiple. Opening and closing the shop felt a bit weird to me but it added to the pressure of getting back to harvesting my birds.
Awesome entry!

Love the art and overall idea for the game! After sacrificing the first squirrel I immediately got flashbacks from Inscription :o

I really want to try it but the Unity plugin doesn't load for me so I can't. You may want to look into that. (I use Firefox if that is relevant)

The graphics are so cute which really works with the grimness of the job you've taken on. And man I love the navigation on the mouse with being able to use my scroll wheel, it's a well-appreciated touch.
I do feel like the soul decay is unnecessary if this were to be a full project. A part of me wants this to be a cozier experience than it allows with the time pressure put on it. I wanna watch the squirrels grow a little and have nice squirrel lives before I harvest their essence, lol.
Really cute concept and could make for a nice, addicting game with some tweaks
@schlock Thanks for the heads up! Just tested and it looks like it's an issue on the LudumDare site that loads the player? I uploaded the same build to itch and it works for me on Firefox, link added if you are still interested in trying it out :) https://kinggra1.itch.io/reap-what-you-sow
