Amazing character design, but not something new in development, anyway good job!
Got stuck in the menu/inventory screen :P UI elements are hard to work with!
I also had issues with the menus getting stuck up when I was trying to figure out how to select the seeds.
You've managed to put together a lot in such a good time, great game. I enjoyed the gameplay but I feel like the controls let you down a bit.
So much work for a short amount of time ! Congrats ✨
Cute game with lovely vibes!
Love the music, so chill - it instantly put me in the havest moon mood. Also, love the night transition, it cuts the story well. overall good work
Very cute! I had some trouble getting the kichen to work on the second day, but I loved hearing the residents stories. I did look for those crackers but couldn't find them, if they're not in the game yet could be fun to add!
Really great game, very cool you managed to put it together in this jam! What I liked: * Characters and mood are great. I enjoyed the small conversations and spending the time with the characters. * Very cozy feeling - I felt like I really got to know this space by the end of the game * Cool concept with you trying to please the residents * Beautiful art and music! What I didn't like: * A few bugs and the interface wasn't very intuitive. For example, I still have no idea how to change the square that is "selected" from your inventory boxes at the bottom of the screen (I always had the left one be the "selected one" and moved things around to make the one I wanted to use the left most one which was really awkward). I also kept accidentally cooking/cutting stuff I didn't want to and there was one specific case where I got stuck because I couldn't pick up something that finished cooking and I had to restart the game. * It took me a while to figure out what the "objective" is, as I kept just feeding them the same fries every day. However after I restarted I got much more into just "role playing" and trying to please the characters and then it clicked for me.
Anyway, really enjoyed my time with this game, thank you for making it!
It reminds us of "To The Moon". Chill music, cozy atmosphere, nice artwork. Well done.
Chill vibes and feeling good, having the time to do whatever you want, it feels nice ! GGs
What I liked: Game idea is really cute. I like the art and how ambitious it is- the map is pretty big and the detail on the house is lovely. Incredible how you build something so ambitious in just a weekend.
Suggestions: I wasn't able to progress that far because I found the interface was quite unintuitive. I wasn't able to chop the potatoes by following the instruction to click again after placing them. It took me quite a long time to work out how to plant seeds because of how the whole active item slot works.
I charged $100 for a stir fry with only potatoes :sunglasses:
As others have said, I love the cozy + cute feel of the game. It took a minute to get the hang of the ui, but once I did there were so many interesting mechanics to play with. Really great stuff overall!
A nice little gaming experience, however I got stuck trying to cut the potatoes. I eventually just feed them raw potatoes, they were surprisingly happy about it :)
Nice graphics, music and mood. Got stuck early on and not very easy to use UI
Game idea is nice. As others have mentioned, this game's weak point is it's User Interface. The rest of the game is solid but I found myself enjoying it less than I would have because of the awkward to use UI. Considering the short development time, there's a LOT here, so well done on that. Overall it's a nice game. Good job.
Like the idea of game and grpahics too! Unfortunatelly after I open the book in right side of inventory isn't close it so game was unplayable. But i like to cencept and I was enjoying this game ^^
Super cute! I loved the style of the "Good Night" screen. It was interesting how I could walk into the water around the map haha. One thing that was slightly confusing, but reasonable, was how I couldn't click on items in my hotbar to hold them.
Oh also, I seemingly can't rate the game?
Very cute game. Controls are very confusing for me even with the tutorials popping up (kudos for that).
Pity you opted out of rating, i would really like to give you some good points. Was really enjoyable and chill.
Very interesting idea! As people above mentioned, controls weren't super straightforward at the beginning, but I got used to them quickly. I really enjoyed listening stories and thoughts of residents! Growing is pretty fun, however, cooking became kind of a chore after a while. Why can't I rate this beautiful game, by the way?
Its a sweet game and a good base for a game to be similar to Spiritfarer. A mix of Stardew Valley and an emotional story, but sadly the game is a bit overscoped for the jam... But still a nice entry i hope youll continue working on! :))
