I am impressed you guys managed to pull this off in the last few days. This is great. I wish i could have seen the impact of the tiles i placed on the near by villages though (e.g. goblin raids etc). Awesome work, well done.

This game was honestly such a cool take on the theme, I never thought of making a card game / simulation style type game.

I would say early on it's pretty difficult till you learn what you're doing. I'd recommend turning the tutorial into 'guided' actions the first time around if you continue this!

Hey there, great entry!! Loved the concept, really reminds me of Catan. Love the resource system and some of the Synergies. After a while had some trouble with keeping up with what resources I had/how was the balance of the overall tiles that I had placed. Also, Couldn't move the camera, but figured it must have been a feature since you open up more and more tiles. Still, loved the concept, great great game!!!!

I dit it! That take me 10m19s! Too much information at the start for me. Realy good, a little difficult and complicated (it took me several tries anyway). A very good job, well done to you!

Really cool! No idea how you managed to make something this well made so quick :D

It was difficult to tell how much damage a town was going to take tho, I just kinda had to guess how many debuffs to apply so the town would actually take damage from the harvest. if these values were more clear I may have understood how to play a little sooner but still super fun!

Awesome game, this one of my Favorites =D

Man, I love your game! I'm not even going to uninstall to play every time I have a little time. Very fun, easy to understand, I really liked the style, it is super within the theme! Congratulations, if you do others or update this, tell me that I'll love to keep playing. Oh, take the opportunity to play our game too and tell me what you thought: https://ldj.am/$318266

I wish you had an HTML5 version of the game to play because I'm always worried about downloading viruses. Can you link to a youtube video of gameplay of your game? I'd love to see what it's like.

Hi @sean-esopenko As u request we add a html verision so u can enjoy our game too! :)

sean-esopenko 2023-01-10 21:40

@marryvss omg thanks so much I'm going to try it out now. The screenshots looked very interesting so I'm going to check it out right this second!

Uh oh, the built in ludum dare web player isn't playing your game. This is what's happening for me on chrome in firefox. I've seen this bug on other players games where it doesn't work on the ludum dare site but adding the html version to their itch.io game makes it work on itch.

Nice one! It took awhile for me to get the hang of the game, but when I did it was pretty fun! I wouldn't have minded a smaller deck to start, so there's less stuff to read and try to understand. Also sometimes a single tile could go from a fully fortified town (0 souls per harvest) to completely destroyed in 1 turn, which I still don't quite understand why. I wouldn't have minded the defense stat instead show how many souls you'll harvest, or how close you are to harvesting, etc. But I love strategy games like this and I felt this worked quite well, good job!

did you like LD51 theme so much you wanted to mix it with LD52? jk

it was an incredible game! i've had so much fun i had to refrain myself from playing it all night! i wish there was an endless mode because i didn't want to stop at 1000 souls haha

there are some minor things that could be improved, but they were nothing compared to all the good things! art is nice, idea is super clever and original, the fact that the map is randomly generated is awesome and makes me want to play again and again!

great job!

This is the most ambitious game I've played thus far! Wow did you fit a lot into the jam! Usually I am turned off by so many rules and text for a game, but I stuck it out and read up on my goals and what I was trying to do.

There was a bit of discovery on trying to balance +/- cards on the board, but on my 2nd run I got the hang of it!

Finished the game and was really having a lot of fun. Well done!

darkenezy 2023-01-13 14:05

Very nice game! Guess it was pretty hard to balance the cards. Finished in 12 minutes, well done! Imo when the night falls, everything becomes too dark, can't see anything at all.

Very interesting card game with great art assets Nice job

emmatw 2023-01-13 21:54

Pretty interesting game idea, the art style is really nice and there was an interesting variety of cards. I think it would have been nice to get more info on how much you would currently harvest from each town as that was a little difficult to keep track of. Overall a good entry, well done!

yaen 2023-01-14 02:47

Hmmm this looks so promising but sadly I just didn't manage to understand the basics. I just have no idea how to ever get that all-important resource number up in any way. Really sad, would have loved to get this and play more. There just seems to be a lot of complexity right away and I'd like it better if it slowly built up to it from a very simple beginning.

zluca 2023-01-14 07:22

I like the idea of combining the soul harvesting with food farming. It looks great as well and i could see the impact of some of the cards i placed. - Unfortunately i couldn't figure out how to control what towns are harvested. He only automatically harvested the first town visible and upgrading that one with a bank made the reaper not harvest at all... despite playing the sound. I thought placing the reapers tile next to new towns might add them to the harvest, but no.

The game looks great and I like the idea of keeping the balance of harvesting enough but not too much. Good job

jonqs 2023-01-14 10:06

Really cool concept and original idea for the theme. Hard to understand the mechanics, and i ofen end up with town that i can't harvest. With some balancing i think the game can be very fun. Congrats !

arron-fowler 2023-01-20 09:21

So much going on here! It was at times a bit overwhelming and this game deserves more time than I could give it for sure. I appreciate the complexity and systems in place and could see many folk like myself loosing lots of time to this. I hope you are thinking about post jam and would love to play any updates. Kudos

foxxy 2023-01-24 19:54

Games looks amazing! Well done.

kostya 2023-01-24 20:13

Wow! Awesome game idea and mechanics
