Nice graphics and sounds. Sorry to hear it did not make it int time for COMPO, would be great entry here. I was a bit disappointed that the trap does not kill the bandit when you lure him to it :( Also the game crashed several times and it does not save my progress so I had to start from the beginning.
I really liked the game, theme, music and graphisms are lovely ! It's a bit hard, but at least find all flowers is very satisfying.
I think the behaviour of enemies is a good point of the game
Some minor remarks I have : * It is maybe a bit difficult to understand how to manage ennemies at the the beginning * It is posible to locate *spoilers* because some tiles are a bit glitching * at the beginning, the "E" help tag is hidden by a tree * When opening the Settings menu one time, it is focused, so SPACE keeps opening the menu instead of dashing
I also think zooming to each flower at the beninning is not necessary, maybe a global view is enough

@pitisek and @drawrunner thanks for trying out my game and for your feedback. I was already aware of some of those things and some other were a bit unexpected. Thanks for noticing, I just fixed those :sweat_smile:
I participated alone as well, don't be sad :cry: Nice puzzle game, like the art style. The sound effect played when finishing the level is a little loud. I noticed the bandit's color is randomly generated, noice details.

RHA these guys keeps to kills me. By the way nice game. I've been trap twice behind trees somehow but il like the look of the bandits.
Well done for creating a solo submission! Unfortunately I got stuck in the second area and couldn't move. The area change noise also scared the crap outta me it was so loud haha.

Nice game. I like the music. I don't know why when I pressed "SPACE" to dash, the game will crash. Every Times. And when the bandit touches me, the game crashed too. Maybe it could be my problem? the Audio when I pass one level is a little big. If you solve the crashed problem, I will back enjoy you game. Cute art style, I like it!
However I come cross a bug that I contantly die every time I just respawned. Maybe the enery object wasn't destroyed when scene is reloaded?(but I didn't see any enemy nearby!)
I didn't see enemy getting near but see myself get stabbed🤣
But in other part the game style looks harmonic! Overall, you made a nice game.
Dude, I loved your game. I confess that I got a huge scare with the sound effect when we pass through the indicator arrow, and the enemy is very bad, it took me a long time to get past him. But I loved the map and the way to harvest the plants. I'll have to play more to get better and get less scares lol. Music and vibe is really good in this one. Nice mechanics too. The sprites are simple but beautiful. Other than few bugs, the game is well made. Really enjoyed :smiley:

Nice simple game, pleasant music and good sounds! The knife guy is a bit tricky when he doesn't telegraph the attacks at all, but that's not a big problem, I did manage to glitch out of the level in a stage with 2 flowers and a knife guy though, no way to reset it seems

thanks was fun, a little glitchy at the start but I completed the game, I like the way the dash was implemented. :)
Hey! This is a pretty decent game, good job on submitting! I have a few issues with the overall game design though. For one this seems to be more of a, oddly enough, action game than a puzzle game. Perhaps this could would work better as like a platformer or something that's a bit a more fast-paced? Secondly, the hidden spikes got annoying very quickly, I think it would be a good idea to add some sort of faint indicator that they're there. You can reward the player for paying attention to the level design. Instead, I'm forced to move through every area very slowly after they're introduced to progress through the game.
i really liked the graphics and the camera movement and zoom :) i might dream of getting stabbed tonight tho

@scolondev Thanks for your feedback and remarks. I decided to participate in this gamejam to try out godot engine. Unfortunately I had to dedicate a little too much effort in understanding many things and polishing suffered a lot from this. Yeah, hidden spiked changed quite much during game development and their current trait actually decide the game pace. Yes, I agree that I could raise the radius which triggers the trap, could speed up a little the game experience, also I struggled if allow dash to evade them.. I decided to keep the pace lower, but that's not the best choice absolutely :smile: Thanks again a lot for trying this out and take the time to write down an exhaustive comment :smiley_cat:
Had to replay it multiple times because it kept glitching out, especially after dying. Not mad though, that's the charm of 72h game jams :) The game feels good to play, once you get the dash mechanic (protip: when encountering an enemy dash him sooner than later) you can juke 3 enemies in a row, extremely satisfying, you could add some combo meter to explore this further. I did not expect this ending at all, nice picture and also explains the moody tone of background music :)

I was a fan of the idea and gameplay of the game. Took me a bit to get used to the dash/dodge mechanic, but not a huge issue really. The only thing I'd like to point out is the sound effect for when you go to the next stage. In my opinion it's a bit too intense and loud, and even managed to scare me twice haha!
I also ran into a bug that unfortunately made me restart the game. On the second stage, when I respawned and the camera zoomed in, my character went flying through the trees in the left and was off bounds.

@big-cyckos it is extremely satisfying to receive such complex and constructive feedback, thank you. My brother told me, after trying this out, that this game reminded him of a souls like game, for the stamina system running to play the dodge. According to this, yeah, a combo system to boost your ability on successful dash would indeed create a nice value. Just a word regarding the ending: that was an idea of my 7yo son. I literally had no idea on how to end this :sweat_smile: Really thanks for playing. I'm saving your game to give a look at tomorrow. Cheer up!

@gabrimer ewww :crying_cat_face: I know that sound scared the crap out of so many people, I'm so sorry for that. I had energies enough to fix a few really really game-breaking bugs but right now I struggle in getting enough time to do more work :confounded: I know this entry is flawed from many perspective but feedback like yours and many others relieve me, since I now have some comfirmation that the fun and engagement that I had in the dev phase is shared (at least in a small part) with the players :smile: thanks a lot! Needless to say that I'll give a shot at everyone's game saw on this comment page :smile:

I played a solid bit of levels but I rage quitted. I noticed that sometimes the UI scales strangely and there is probably a simple fix to that. Another issue is that the stamina bar is a "slider" and this slider happens to be interactable. I believe this is also a simple fix :) Was a very fun game until I died 10 times from traps :(

@buickmle ahah, thanks for playing. yeah, traps are made to test people patience :smile: and thanks for pointing out the slider glitch which I had no idea about. Then, I have no clue of what you mean by weird ui scale, but actually maybe because I made this in such a rush and I had also to get confident with the engine. Thanks again :smiley:
