Really interesting game, liked it a lot !
A really cool take on the theme! It started out pretty straightforward but by the end some of the rooms were really stumping me! The soundtrack is banging too - I've got the heavy guitar riff from the hell part stuck in my head as I type this!
Great interpretation of the theme, the game has a lot of personality! The music was really cool, and the way it switched between the themes for the two different worlds was awesome.
Nice one! The audio transition was incredible and I can tell you put a lot of work into helping people wrap their heads around the two worlds with the minimap and the ability to press to tab to line up your jumps. I didn't realise that the switches were switches for a bit, but that could just be me being stupid.
Also I think I cheesed the last level a bit by positioning my hitbox at the end of a girder so I could walk across them during the transition. Not sure that's really fixable though.
For a bit of polish, some sound effects would have been cool.
Overall loved it.
Cool game! The concept works really well with the theme, and the music change adds a lot to the overall mood. I agree with the previous comment about the last level, I also passed by clinging to the right and I'm not sure it was the intended way of solving the room.
Really nice idea! I enjoyed the switching mechanic, and being able to hold tab to switch is a really nice touch.
The level design was very good -- generally I found that I was learning the mechanics naturally as the game progressed. The difficulty jump for the last level was perhaps a little steep, but it was a satisfying one to solve. I'd definitely enjoy playing more levels of this with more puzzles and mechanics!
The platforming also generally felt nice and solid, and I enjoyed the music switcheroos.
p.s. I went to hell :(
Cute game! I really like the music. It took me a bit long to realise the platforms weren't on a timer but were switching when I jumped. The last level was quite fiddly but it wasn't too hard. The only thing I was hoping was that the last screen let you choose which music to jam to!
I love the art and music! Very cute!! The use of the theme is also very clever, I like it! Good job!!
interesting idea, I really appreciated seeing the other world in the mini screen. The controls would like some fine-tuning, and the music was probably cut in the hellish world. It was great to be able to exit the level in different ways. I liked the level design a lot.
Really interesting idea! The music slaps xD
Great idea and the music works perfectly, I never realised the platforms switched when you jumped as @relick mentioned - I thought they were on an odd timer..!
Really liked the music switching back and forth with the worlds. Platforming was easy to control, which was nice. Also the puzzles were challenging in a good way. Having the preview on screen is smart too.
I do agree that it would have been perfect if standing on the left or right side of the final level changed the music! 😁
Very fun game! Good combination of puzzle and skill elements. Occasionally you have to wait around a bit for the switch but it's really not that bad. Highlight is the music for me, really well done.
Very interesting game and great graphics! :)
I like the idea, the visuals is pretty good and I really like the music. This is overall a pretty good jam game, and the idea fits the theme pretty well. Well done.
This is a super fun little platformer! Funnily enough we had a similar idea, although the use of shifting between planes is incorporated a lot more directly into the platforming in your case. Awesome little game, music was great as well.
