Nice to include the source, maybe I can port to Mac and Linux later.

Banging soundtrack. Sounds like a high-fidelity OG DOOM!
Game is really good fun. Really cool aesthetic. The limited bullet count adds a level of stress you don't get in most light gun games.
Really, really wish I owned a lightgun. Never seen an LD entry that used one!
Awesome picture of you blasting away playing the game. Great music and nice selection of weaponry.
Thank you for the comments! Found out the in-game UI is broken on non-4k resolutions, will submit a post-jam fix.
Nice vibe! The rail format gave me nice childhood memories of Pokémon Snap :) Also liked the shop mechanic and customisable weapon order, cool concept that introduced a bit of customisation elements to the core gameplay.
Thanks! The shop mechanic is something we decided on quite early, to have some kind of progression in the game (on top of the randomly generated levels themselves getting more difficult over time).
v1.0.1 UI hotfix for non-4k resolutions is up!
@teddyreid Glad you liked the tunes! If you REALLY like them you can download the lossless version for free here: https://iamthevastidledhitchhiker.bandcamp.com/album/pupu-pew-pew-ost
I really liked the music in your game. And the game itself is excellent.
Cool entry. Looks decent, and the music is a banger.
One nitpick: I think it would feel much better if the bullets flew much faster.
Also the game crashed on me twice (just froze) after about a minute or two, so I wasn't able to get very far. But these things happen in gamejam games .) I wasn't able to get anything useful from the log file. It just stops at
> Shoot direct mouse button 0
> Shoot with Single shot
on both occasions
I like the game, the concept and the art. Really cool game. Well done!
@kuro I've been doing Ludum Dare for 10 years. The code in this game is my worst so far, so I am not surprised it may crash. The hacks to make two light guns work as two separate mice devices in Windows bleed into normal mouse gameplay too. Sorry about the crash. :D
Nice work. It would be better if I had actual light guns too
Sorry, because of network problems comments were posted several times, but I do not know how to delete
Fun idea with the reload and bullet upgrades. Sniper was definitely my favourite as it one-shotted many of the pupus :sunglasses:
Cool graphics and nice soundtrack. I've not played lots of light gun games, but for the genre, this seemed good and innovative. Not sure about the balancing. Is it possible to clear harder levels with the normal gun? What does the laser actually do? Seemed like to be a normal bullet that just went fast.
Nice vibe and suitable music, i like the Game
Cool game and the soundtrack is also cool, it's a pity that it slows me down. This game reminded me of a game where you had to break glass with steel balls. I liked the game)
Fun little game! Music was banging and gameplay was smooth. Probably the biggest annoyance was stalactites leaving their tips when you shoot them, leaving behind a piece you can't shoot again but still deals damage to you.
Great game, unfortunately i don't have lightguns but i imagine it'd be more fun than mouse. I feel like the basic gameplay loop is a bit "slow" but it is well paced and balanced with the amount of enemies coming up. Really nice idea for a jam. Good job.
Cool concept. I see a lot of potential in this game. You should keep working on this game as it is really fun to play.
Fun little game, loved the metal soundtrack (some CoB vibes around here)
That was awesome. I really loved the like, PS2 era geometry and music + the modern shading. It's a very fun feel! I sadly played with mouse, but it was still really fun! I felt the timer-based stuff kind of felt different from most other games like this. Like instead of wanting to preserve shots to destroy stuff, I wanted to just shoot as far ahead as possible so I could use my future shots on other stuff. For me it got to a point where around 33 things killed, I couldn't get through with my number of shots. I don't know if this is me being bad, or having a bad loadout, but I definitely wanted to get further! I really really liked the effects upon shooting things, and the way some things seemed to have weak points. The actual shooting mechanic seemed to be really well done! Fun game!
Loved this, it was great, too bad I couldn't play with a light gun but still lots of fun! Some of the hits I took were kinda cheap IMO like as an example I'd shoot the icicle in the middle with the single shot and the tip would be floating in the middle of the air and still hurt me. Beyond that overall good stuff, had fun!
