Very nice art and music, relaxing.
@disperse thank you :D
Potions Games are always about the mood. Chill and pleasant. Neat one :D
This game has really nice atmosphere! Maybe it's a bit repetitive in its "gameplay", but the story is clearly more important here:)
So nice art and a very chilling narrative adventure. A bit repetitive, but good overall
Cute game! Love the setting and mood. The mechanic kind of made me anxious about messing up :smile:
Maybe the randomizer could be a bit improved. I got the pattern (sleep, sleep, sleep, love, love, love, nature, sleep, truth) so I thought I am doing something wrong at first. Also it would be cool if the start dialog would be adjusted based on the previous run. currently they feel a bit separated. But still a great entry!
Really atmospheric, really nice mood, the dialogue was adorable. As for gameplay, I tried multiple times but got love 4 times in a row which is when I was like; alright, it's hardcoded, but only upon reading other comments I realised there are meant to be more types of potions. Perhaps a check what potion you used in your last run would've been great! I feel like this game has a lot of potential, imagine adding additional mechanics to the recipe (stir the pot, heat the pot) rather than just the amount of potions required :D Thanks for your submission, Gab!
@disperse @bruyere-alice @save-sloth-studios @federico-giorgi @oadt @kepsert hey everyone, thank you so much for the feedback, I am so sorry that I didn't had the time to play your games these days, but I am having a loooooot of work because I just released a DLC of Phil Alone, another game that was build on the Ludum Dare. If you guys have some time to check it out, I would love that: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2129820/Phil_Alone__Game_Dev_Book/ And if you guys wanna me play your game, let me know!
Again, thank you so much!
Love the way you intertwined the potion mixing with the story, the art is excellent and the game has a very polished feel to it, it feels like vertical slice of a full game. An interesting that can be thought about is depending on the player you could practically skip the whole conversation to make sure you get the potion correct. Most likely someone like that wouldn't play the game at all but one thing that can be done just in case is to have a special interaction that activates only if a player skipping text. The other character could say "are you paying attention to me" or sth of the sort and that line should be left to remain for a few seconds to make sure the player realises what they did! Another suggestion would be to have put all the potion in a single run instead of having to start again and hope you get a different one. But overall a really solid submission, well done :)
Really fun little game and a very creatice use of RPG maker capabilities! I love the LGBT+ touch to the game and the cozy mood <3
I had fun playing it. Great art, great mood. Colors seem very special to me.
You got my stars ;)
Thanks @ehon @krasimir-balchev @aj-studio for playing :D
Nice little game! Nice art in the background. It's a cute little story! However, the game rests on the story and the story didn't surprise me that much. I would have loved if there was a twist, something surprising, or philosophical to chew on in the story to spice it up a bit. Nice submission!
Interesting little game! I think it needed a little bit of prompting to remember the amounts for the potions, since it is only shown once. It is also easy to lose track of the amounts since you need to read dialog between adding potions to the potion. I know this is more of a visual novel, but I think it would have been nice to have some colors coming out of the pot, maybe to signify if the potion is brewing correctly (other than that the art is lovely!). The sounds were quite nice, though I think it needed a kinda negative sound when adding the wrong ingredient (could even be just like the same arpeggio just going down instead of up). Overall though good job!
A nice relaxing game, though a bit short on the gameplay side -- just clicking from a selection menu. I love the art, though -- just beautiful, and I was hoping I'd see more during the game. I think there's some potential to build an wholesome game here, and I hope you continue with it. Good work!
