Loved the visuals and audio. Throwing asteroids into the sun felt really satisfying! Great job!

Loved the visuals and audio. Throwing asteroids into the sun felt really satisfying! Great job!
This is such an impressive game to completed in the timeframe! the concept and mechanics were great, it was a lot of fun to figure out the best ways to flying the asteroids back at the sun to get them there quickly. Personally I did find the sound effects a bit grating after a while, and the typos in the writing were distracting at times.
Overall very solid!
This game looks great and I really like the audio. Super impressive!
Really cool game! Hearing the beeping sound when reverse your spaceship is absolutely hilarious!
Really impressed by the rich and coherent art + audio style! For some reason, I found it difficult and a little disorienting to fly around; I think something about the camera movement combined with the parallax background made it seem like the ship wasn’t rotating around a consistent center point. I think if the camera movement was based on the direction of travel rather than the direction the ship is facing, it might work better for me. Still, I love how polished this is!
@stefan-laimer was waiting for beep appreciation :D glad someone else also enjoyed it :D

Very nice art style, loved the space background, but I found the ship controls little bit harder, it's probably just me
The art, music, and background chatter added to the atmosphere beautifully. The way the game felt did as well. Very consistent feel across all design elements which I appreciate greatly. Good job!
Wow. Just wow. Sounds visuals everything.
Also is this what geologists will do in the future?
All solid, but the pixel art really stands out. Perfect score from me.
graphics are looking awesome, controls are a bit hard but overall very polished looking!
Amazing visuals and atmosphere! Took a while to get used to the sliding movement of the ship but eventually I felt like a drift master in space. The beeping sound gave me a laugh, LOL!
The music really sets the mood in this, love it. Great graphics, really interesting style, lots of personality. The music, mood and graphics reminded me a lot of Into The Breach. I wish there were more of the ore asteroids to pick up, I seemed to spend most of my time searching, especially before the radar upgrades. Great work :)
i thought it is another alien battle game but it turned out more beautiful. Diler, the graphics is great :)
Great game ! good job. I had pleasant time skiding around meteors. Graphics, sounds and characters dialog work perfectly to create a real deep end of the world mood. Thanks to the team
I really like this game! Well made! One thing I had a problem with is that i couldn't fly forward. W and Arrow Key Up makes my ship also fly backwards.
Not what I expected, but this is great. I really love the idea, good job!
Was exited about the art but I see you opted out it from the ratings. Oh well! I think it fits the music pretty well where there is a _space_ for some clever humor as well. Great job!
Here is my playthrough:

Really impressive art and funny dialogues! Didn't realize how far I have to fly to find the right asteroids, and didn't find any before getting the second radar upgrade. But managed to finish the game after that.
Finally managed to get back to my LD games backlog ;D
Awesome entry! The art really looked amazing, liked the cutscene and the death animation :) It's a fun concept! controlling the spaceship is a bit confusing at first, I narrowed it down to 2 reasons: 1. you don't control the spaceship with screen orientation how most players are used to but rather in which direction the ship "looks" (I figured that out pretty quickly because we've once done a jam entry with exactly the same thing and I know that it can confuse people ^^) 2. I personally would prefer if the ship didn't rotate too much when just pressing "go forward", although it might be fun if it weren't combined with the "player view orientation", so maybe add a version where you move the direction in which the player looks with WASD and then like space or something for adding fuel? Just an idea :) Would love to try that, so if you do that, tag me!
The mechanic to rotate with the meteor to build up acceleration was really intuitive, I liked that! And when I managed to throw the meteor into the sun it felt really good! :)
I really liked how you can heal yourself at earth and get upgrades etc. that was a fun mechanic!
What would have been very nice is additionally to the radar an arrow indicating where the sun is and maybe a little screen at the edge alwyys showcasing the sun (so you can see the explosions even if you're farther away for positive player feedback)
All in all a cool entry! You can be proud of yourselfes :)
@angiemon great feedback! I don't play any space games, so I just thought how spaceship could be controlled with physic and went with it :D if I had more time I would polish it more and change few things, but hey time ended and we have to live with what we made :) I think someday we will come back to this project and make full release (with different mechanics), because we managed to create a nice atmosphere :) I'm glad that many people had a fun time with our game!
Amazing pixel art! Really challenging and fun game! I absolutely love how hard it is to control shape ship. One part I was confused at the start was bars on the bottom right side of the screen. The blue one - I find out what it is pretty quickly, with the first asteroid I "meet" :) But the second one (orange)... for I long time I thought it was my ship fuel. Either, I missed an information about that somewhere, or it should be mentioned in the game, so someone as dumb as I was not confused XD "Fun fact". The more massive the star the shorter it's lifespan (physic and stuff, I do not want to write a whole essay here, why), so adding more stuff to the start is not the greatest idea, but I take in-game mechanics as "game logic" :)
I'm really surprised that this game does not have more ranting received. Awesome job with the game!
Wow that's a really good entry, you did great
@zimny11 this fun fact knowledge is clearly from year 2022. In year 2137 it has became clear that it is exactly opposite ;). Thanks a lot for feedback it is very well written and comment about lack of bar description is on point. We'll take a lesson for a future. :)
I liked the story and progression, enjoyed the game even if the ship felt clunky. I do wish you gave credit to the original: beckhaywood.itch.io/save-the-sun
We love that someone else took our idea and improved in some areas, but giving credit is the bare minimum.
