Cool take on the theme. It gets out of control so quick! Just when you think you've got the perfect setup, another faucet is added hehe Great execution, good work!

This really reminds of Mini Metro! This was really creative and the water effects are great. Also, your menu swoosh (idk what else to call it)? I love that and I'm totally stealing it for a future project. Really well done! Only criticism I have is that the controls are unintuitive
@peteywoufes Thank you! I love Mini Metro and Mini Motorways, they were definitely a source of inspiration for this game.
For the controls, I think having a proper tutorial and a better indicator when connecting cups could make things clearer, but there's never quite enough time to do everything!
Interesting idea but the controls became a bit buggy for me in the web version. Wasn't clear what was happening when I was linking cups initially.
Super fun game, I was sad that I got the filling cup spawned out of the camera view and I could only just watch it fill up :potable_water: :D This game could definitely end up on mobile platform as a logic game (to survive X amount of time each stage, add more types of connections). Good entry, good job :)
@gummibot was it only outside the camera view (you can move it a bit with WASD), or completely unreachable? I have to check the spawning logic, that is definitely not supposed to happen :eyes: Thank you for the kind words anyway!
@mensio I could see it, but I couldn't click it. I didn't play on fullscreen though, so maybe it was a scaling problem :)
Cool and simple idea! I was a little confused with linking cups too, but I got it in the end! Would be great to have some indication of the first selected cup.
I dig it, the song definitely vibes with the cups. I agree with @sirikan I had issues connecting cups on the web version but when I downloaded the Windows build I never had a issue. Might be worthwhile looking into.
Big time Mini Metro vibes, in a good way. I like the cup overflow idea, and the gameplay and concept both work well with the theme, but it seems like it was quite challenging to execute on in the timeframe. I had a hard time with the controls, and real life fluid physics wouldn't transfer over in a particularly fun way, so you need more play testing and balancing time than you have in the Compo format to really make things click. I think if you put more thought into making the control scheme as flexible and intuitive as you can, this could be a cool game to take further, since the core mechanic is actually quite fun in spite of the rough edges.
Lovely idea - really liked the concept. My experience was that connecting the cups was a bit cumbersome (as pressing 2 only showed me where to connect and when i clicked the UI for it disappeared). Overall nice job but maybe needs a bit more polish on the controls.
Really good takes on the theme and interesting inspiration from Mini Metro and Mini Motorways (Games that I love). I would love to play this game on mobile. One of my favorite games so far !
That was a really interesting take on the theme! I think with a bit more tuning, this could become a pretty neat little mobile game!
That being said, I think the controls need a bit of work. Having to keep track of 4 buttons for a game of this scale seems very overbearing. I'd imagine it would be easy enough to simplify them down to just one button: click on an empty space to place a new bucket, click over a bucket to start a new connection.
Thanks everyone for the feedback! I've been working on a postjam version, and better controls are definetly a priority.
@niterich thank you for the suggestion, one button feels much more intuitive!
Hey, I love the minimalistic style throughout your whole game! Once you figure out the controls, they also work nicely and responsive!
I managed to crash the game a couple of times though, when i misclicked and tried to make a connection from an empty cup to the space around it. I guess when water starts flowing into that cup it then looks for an outlet at the connection but finds none, resulting in the crash.
But anyway, great entry! :)
Very interesting concept! Good job!
Hi everyone! I've finished working on an updated version of the game, with reworked controls and a proper tutorial. Unless (or maybe until?) some major bug is discovered, I've done everything I wanted to do with this project.
Thank you again to anyone that played it, rated it, and gave feedback
