Love the minimalism but I am not sure if the visual chaos is part of the mechanics..? It was a bit confusing and not so pleasant to connect with the gameplay but that can be intentional :)
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD49 → Shields Down

I could not figure out how to do anything but move.
Game was confusing, could've benefited from the camera following the player. You should check out our game! its pretty similar! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/$261620
Nice entry but I had trouble finding the front end of my ship... Also didn't manage to do much before the integrity was gone :/ Maybe put less enemy at the start to let the player grasp all the mechanics then make them swarm once the player buy his first upgrade ?
I really love the look and feel but am I doing something wrong or is this actually damn hard :-)? Switching between mouse to upgrade something and keyboard is annoying would be cool to use keyboard shortcuts to buy something. Also lacking some feedback when you're mining or delivering stuff. But was nevertheless fun to play :-)
I liked this game but it was difficult to control the ship. It seemed to be necessary to use S to slow down before changing direction but it didn't seem to matter which direction you were pointing in when you did it. Might have been better to go with the Asteroids approach of just having Left, Right, and Thrust. Let the player handle their own momentum. Certainly, a good start. With feedback from play testing I'm sure you can enhance it further.
Nice job! I like the idea of an asteroids style mining game. Those red guys sure are a rowdy bunch though!
Very nice game , Good job
Quite difficult, but the overall concept is quite good! A visual indicator of the ship's direction such as flame would have been greatly appreciated, I got confused about my direction several times and then went off the screen. Also, while I do like minimalistic graphics, I think the graphics are minimalistic enough that sometimes it can be hard to tell what is going on. Overall, it's a nice entry, albeit a bit confusing.
It reminds me Asteroids by Atari!
It took me a bit to put the mechanics together but once I got it was a fun experience! I like the simple high-contrast graphics. It's very easy to tell the player, enemies, asteroids, etc. apart, and it fits the aesthetic of the game. One thing that initially confused me was that I was worried I would have to dodge the enemies, but it seems like they only bother to attack the station. One improvement that might make the game flow a little better might be to add hotkeys for repairing the station. When the station integrity is getting dangerously close to zero, I'm always going to go into the upgrade menu to try to repair it, so have a single button dedicated to that (maybe E or R?) would smooth out that part of the experience. Nice job overall!
I had no clue what to do and i could barely see my spaceship.
