Cannot start game, always starts my steamvr home setup. Very weird
The idea of the game is really cool and innovative however the game was incredibly buggy (which I guess fits the theme somewhat). Standing on items would often throw me around and sometimes toss me out of the map. The game looked pretty good although the npcs contrasted the environment because of their bright colours. I also hated the way they moved. The way they danced was really annoying and sometimes they clipped through the wall and into my shop. Overall the game was ok.
@aldorado Thank you for the alert, I've just pushed an update onto itch that should fix that issue
I really liked this entry vibe-wise. Very eclectic design choices. I was, however, unable to actually build anything at the table.
building everything was incredibly chaotic (in a good way), besides the bugs the game was really fun!
@almightyzentaco I'm sorry you were having an issue building, we're discussing adding a visual aid for initial placement but that might count as a new feature, which we aren't allowed to add at this point. In the mean time, if you left click to pick up an item then walk into the building station and left click in the center of the floor that should start you off, if it worked your part will be floating with glowing attachment points
It was odd to just have a dragon person sitting here dancing at the window. I managed to get two items into the station but couldn't get the third in, and didn't know how to make it work. It's an interesting concept, but I wish I could get it to work.
I found the game incredibly funny and entertaining. Just puting things together the way I wanted was really fun and at times just relaxing. I hope you continue to work on this after the jam because with some adjustments this could be sold for money. Great job
Very fun and chaotic, the idea is really cool
This looks really up my alley, but full screen with this fixed FOV makes me too motion-sick to be able to play it :-(
Well isn't this a charming game! There's definitely room for polish, though. I really wish there was a way to take items off the build station, since you can easily run out of attachment points by mistake. Buying a new shipment of scrap resets your current build progress. And it'd be really helpful if scrap items had their physics disabled until picked up, so the player didn't have to glitch across the junkyard. With a couple of tweaks like that, this could be really fun!
@cynthianconspiracy I'm sorry to hear about your motion sickness, I've added an FoV slider to our feature list for update 1.3.0
@dragonsheep Buying a new shipment of scrap now only adds more scrap to the yard, and does not reset any build progress or delete any existing scrap. This is included along with several other bug fixes in update 1.2.0 which I hope to have out tomorrow. I have also added your other suggestions to our feature list for update 1.3.0
Lovely concept, seizure-inducing physics!
I love the QoL feature where you're constantly reminded what you're trying to build, plus how every piece of junk is tagged to indicate its properties so there's no guesswork involved in what parts will satisfy the request. However, I wish the world didn't feel like it was shaking itself apart every time I search through the junk pile - sometimes the physics jitters were so bad I'd find myself walking one way one moment and turned around 180 the next. Sometimes I'd even get stuck in place for no clear reason and have to shuffle around to try and dislodge myself from the invisible hitbox.
This is an idea I'd love to see polished further. Might it be possible to rework the junkyard so it no longer relies so heavily on wonky physics?
Well I'm now the proud owner of a shiny rock! This was an interesting game, it reminded me of Garry's Mod. It would have cool to see some of my contraptions in use (though I have no idea how you could do that with the variety of uses I was hearing about). It was fun being randomly launched into the air while digging through the junk pile, and I appreciated the out of bound box, that kept me from going too far.
Very Fun Game i like it . The music is very cool with the game . Very good work
I like your idea however the game was buggy. I had the same problems like the previous players( Overall the game was ok. Thanks for the experience!
