@federico-giorgi That was what I was aiming for : a casual game that you could play on your phone. Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool idea, renewing an old game for the theme. I think the game is refined and playable. And its also fun. These are my most important criterias for ludum dare jams. So well done. Keep on!!
@cinar I didn't felt it was very fun, but maybe it's because I had more features in mind. Thank you for your comment!
My "building" turned out to be 26.51 high. And it looked more like an untidy pile. But it was fun.
Catchy music. The gameplay is nothing really new, would have liked to see some experimental mechanic twisted in.
@morhailen Yep, mine turned out to be just a pile a unstable building parts too. Glad you had fun anyway!
@bloodycoin I would have liked it too. I intended to implement a "earthquake" mechanic and to give the player the possibility to choose parts. However, you know how it goes ... time
Nice game with good use of the theme. The game need a preview of the tower piece you are about to drop in order for the player to make informed decisions ... like where to place it. Still quite fun to see the various tower pieces bouncing around as you drop a new piece ;-) Nice work!
I had fun with the game, though I wish there was a way to control the Z-axis (or just remove it entirely and have a false 3D game). Nice music and I laughed at the final "spire" piece pathetically tumbling off my mess of building parts, before the game congratulated me.
It's a fun game and it's reallt unstable ^^. Because there is a large batch of piece and no preview of next one, I drop it at wrong place and chaos began. It reminded me when I have played Tricky Towers, I prayed for building to not collapse :) Good Job.
I've seen a number of games this jam centered around building an unstable tower. However, your game is own of the best executions I've seen — graphics and audio are great and I liked that the player could control both position and rotation. Amazing job!
Really cool game. Everything fits together really well. Lots of room to expand here as well, great entry!
Hi! your game is fun! and it's great that you could introduce some notes for the player at the beginning, so cute the constructions type that you added as well. Good work!
Great work! I do agree with @mysticalsoundshower, unless there was a way to rotate a building on more than one axis, it might make more sense to go in a 2D direction to remove the illusion of full 3D control. In the context of a game jam deliverable though, this is really fantastic!
Nice Game! I like the artstyle, very nice buildings. I would get rid of the thirs step of 'adding the building' it always irritated me. As far as I understand I cannot change the location or rotation, so why pressing another time to put it on top.
A well executed game, was fun to play. Physics seemed on point, controls were intuitive - allthough I'd rather play with spacebar or something. Would also love if the blue measuring thing moved 8 times faster. Took a while once you get quite high :P
That was a neat project! It took me a second to process, but I got the hang of things pretty quick. I like the main bitcrushed BGM a lot, especially as there's enough variety in the loop to keep it from getting repetitive.
If there's one criticism I have, it's the fact that you've made a distinctly 2D game that plays in a 3D space anyway. I feel that certain types of structural weaknesses become unfair to the player because you can have pieces of your building fall along the Z axis and continue to block the corner of any piece that falls near it. Because the player can't control the Z axis placement in the slightest, this just doesn't feel fun-- if you plan on keeping the game 3D, it may be a fun addition to allow the player to move back and forth with W/S and have full control while the X axis remains a claw-game. If you don't want to give the player any control, I'd just lock the Z axis physically-- I do like the visual aspect of buildings collapsing in 3D, but it does hurt gameplay at the end of the day.
Otherwise, the physics are very solid and pieces have enough friction to stick together for the most part. I also appreciate the whimsical and polished UX, though I think the in-game visuals would look better with some post processing. All in all, great entry!
I enjoyed the concept. The gameplay was straightforward and enjoyed trying to stack them up.
