Liked the concept and the idea of an unstable stock market. Great visuals. Would recommend having some stocks to slowly and quickly with some random drops and rises sporadically.

Loved the art and the concept but its hard to predict whats going to happen (is it possible ?)
I think the quest kinda goes against the idea of the game. The idea is, buy and sell to gain an advantage. But if I have to earn 500 from every stock anyway, why would I sell that stock when it raises in value. I think just having the base game and just messing around with quests, would give this game a lot of replayability.
I was hoping some one would make an unstable economy game. I really like this idea. It had all the crazy unpredictability of the real stock market and just like real life I lost a lot of money! In the end, I had success just by buying when a stock went super low as they always bounced back (unlike IRL).
Some controls for the sound and a way to restart/replay would have been good (unless there was one that I didn't see). I liked the art style and the UI was pretty intuitive.
Overall, good job!
Unique take on the theme, with great consistent artwork! Enjoyed waiting for the perfect time to buy low and sell high. Im conflicted on the time it takes to take money. on one hand its no fun waiting, but it also makes you plan ahead and maybe feel the frantic feeling of not being able to withdrawl all your money from a crashing stock lol.
Also note after a while all the stock options flatlined, not sure if that was a bug
Woah, when you start losing money it has the same frustration as when you really invest into the real stock market. 10/10 NGL. hahaha
Love the ArtStyle. Very great job. Nice
We wanted to make al level in our game like this one but didn't have time for that. Anyway, a cool implementation of that kind of idea. The things that I missed is something like newsletters about what is going on. Like ALL COWS ARE ESCAPING THE KINGDOM and all you money just disappear due crisis. Some warning should be posted before that of corse. And maybe a goal or a timer to state the end of the session wouldn't be a bad enchantment, I guess
@yogurtthehorse Thank you! We actually have newsletters that appear in the bottom right corner, but you have to click them for them to appear, which may have been a bad choice as it is easy to miss. I actually just posted a post jam version with a timer which we didn't have time for in the jam version :P
@japayne oh maaan. How could I miss it...
:D quite fun game. Made all of my fortune on speculating "sadistic lords" :D. Had one strange bug where the stock market just stopped, none of the stocks changed values. All in all very fun game :)
Fun concept for a game. I found it too hard to focus on all of the companies at once and thus I just picked one I liked (The Vicious Vikings), made a ton of money on them and then put that into other companies to clear the goal. I wish there was some way to withdraw big amounts of money more quickly. The news are a neat idea but after reading the first few, letters just kept piling up on my desk because there wasn't too much variety there. The graphics seem really polished and I also liked the music.
Great job!
This was interesting! The main thing that was bothering me the whole time is my inability to withdraw funds quickly from a live stock that's up there but falling. There should really be a way to grab everything a once, I think.
And perhaps the hints shouldn't be literal descriptions of future events: when a stock is going up, that's not really news, you can already see it. News should contain something that lets *you* make educated guesses as for where the stock is gonna go.
Maybe there could even be a silly mechanic of a window in which you can see the outside world and changes within it. That smoke on the horizon... ooooh, the Yellow HQ is that way, I guess their stock is about to crumble if they're literally on fire. And that rain over Red farms? I bet the harvest will be good, gotta invest now! Stuff like that, you know? Just an idea :)
And the overall goal seems a bit weird, imo. Why do I need 500 gold in every stock when I could just have 2500 gold for myself? Some stocks are in decline, I shouldn't have to invest in them just to win.
Also, I think it would be nice to have a mark on the graph whenever you buy or sell to see how you're doing.
That all said, very cool game overall! Pleasant presentation and music, the quills drawing the plots are cool looking, the way the graph changes when you hover over the banners is helpful. I liked it a lot!
I liked the game concept, I think you have something there. The graphics, the chart was also really good.
However, I think the UX of transferring founds back and forth needs improvement. It's a bit cumbersome.
Overall solid entry!
I love the idea and the graphic of the game. Very user-friendly interface and controls. But there are a few things that get in the way of playing. For example, it is a little unclear why I can endlessly receive coins and what prevents me from receiving all 2500 coins in this way (except for unwillingness to press the "Work" button 2500 times :)). It is also not very convenient that to take 100 coins I have to sit for a few seconds and wait for it to accumulate. In addition, there is a bug in the game, it is not clear what it is connected with (maybe because for some reason not an integer number of coins is counted), that all charts stop and stop changing, which is why you have to restart the game. But in general, I liked the game and I would love to play it.
I like the idea of the game in general, though to be honest, I kind of struggled to understand what to do and how to play. That could easily be chalked up to me being an idiot though. Seems like something solid was there underneath it all and I did like the art!
I really like graphic and idea! It very fits to theme! I would like to invest more than one monet on click or a little bit of tutorial. Overall good job!
Could have used a scaling chart, so that the price of stocks would be less predictable. Also, the fluctuations were way too big.
