I like the game's concept, and how to plays, but there is a few things I would do to improve gameplay. I would add healthbar on enemies, since it felt like I wasn't doing anything to the enemies. Some audio, so then the game is more fun. And maybe a better style to the game, so it looks less generic. Otherwise, the game is pretty cool.

The game was fun. I second a healthbar for the enemies, but I enjoyed the jumping and physics. One big suggestion I would make, in the "How to play" section, you could change the text to white instead of red. The red is hard to read.

Simple, yet fun! shooting enemies is always fun. I wish the enemies were a different color than the terrain so that they could stand out more though

@thewhiterice I definitely wanted to add a health bar to the enemies, as well as some visual feedback but I ended up having to skip out on it for time, overscoped as always.

@tanner-shelton I was a little bit worried about that but I literally made the How to Play section in the last 30 minutes of the jam and couldn't play with colors. I'll keep that in mind for the future, thank you.

@bodaciouslycrazy I wish I could show you my original concept for what everything was supposed to look like, but I never could end up getting that to work. Colors were going to be darker, the enemies were going to have neon glow around the edges. But unfortunately I'm not that skilled in shaders, etc. quite yet. Maybe I can manage something like it in LD49 :)

yeah quite a fun game, especially for default textures and no audio. I reckon with some cool graphics upgrades to make the models shine and some futuristic music this would be a really cool game beyond the jam, hope you keep working on it. Got to level where it was just a cube deathtrap lol. the different gun modes are cool but the lazer just felt way better than anything else since you could snipe everything from really far away before they could get to you/or trigger thier aggro.

I live the idea, throwing on some banging beats while I dash around the cortex going melee only mode is quite fun XD. Understanding that the scope never ends up coming to fruition (boy do I suffer from the same XD), my first few goes were bad - since I didn't realize I was damaging the enemies at all :D. Nice work, quick - to the point - and fun, to boot. Thanks for the raids during the weekend too! XD.

I quite enjoyed the movement model in this game, probably the best out of the LD games i've tried so far this jam :D The roly-poly type enemies seemed a bit impotent in the very chunky landscape, often spawning in places where they couldn't be of much threat :eyes:

Would have been nice to have a clearer representation of how "deep" you are into the cortex (more than the counter) but I understand it's a jam and doing a 3D game yourself in this timespan is already *so hard* :D

Feedback on hitting the enemies would have been nice, but really I was having quite a lot of fun just zooming around with how the movement was set up :)

I think the concept is really innovative - I like the unusual enemies and mysterious portals. I found it fun bouncing around trying to outsmart the enemies, then leaping into the funky portal! Would love to see this cool little game developed further :)

Good work for LD! Find it fun, but here are 2 bugs: - try double jump in the wall - camera and character start jitter like crazy - on deep 6 I kill all enemies, but can't go through the portal. I explore whole map, but didn't find any enemy.

Ah unity default skybox never change. All the effects are very nice looing, will second the want to have enemy health be shown. There was one situation where I spawned into a level surrounded by two walls and the edge, so I couldn't progress. Overall good job!
