It would have been really nice if there was a sense of danger. The player is really encouraged to take their time and slowly move past obstacles, because there's no reason to go fast. The tone and mood of the scene was great though. One thing that might help in the future is picking an easier to read font colour for the UI, as the grey text was hard to read here.

Cool starting point! Like the models you guys used. With some more time you could have a pretty cool endless runner.
Is a littel weird, like, you can go on the side of the map and dodge all the obstacles, or I manage to go under the map, but overall is good especially considering the time limit and the fact(probably) that is the first game you make. Keep trying and I think you can achieve something interesting the next time.
It's not an exeptionnal game but a good start as game developper, you just forget to check bugs/exploits and add an element to encourage the player to go fast, that make the game quickly boring
Graphics can be better. I will see that the ball is rotating if it will have a texture. The ball's movement feels too sticky. It stops too quickly after releasing the drive key.
Overall this is great job for two 14 year old boys.

Very impressive for 14 year old boys, I know I wouldn't have been able to do the same at that age. I played for a while.

There were a little too many bugs (graphic artifacts like road disappearing and falling through). I could also pass in the woods and will never get stuck into an obstacle. I guess you should polish more and maybe expand the core concept.

Super cool! Awesome tree designs. Only thing as was pointed out before is that you should not be able to stop, as it becomes too easy to get past the harder obstacles. Good job!
There was lots of empty space between the obstacles. All of that extra downtime makes the player lose interest! I'd recommend removing the excess empty space (long runs of no obstacles) and introducing some new challenges.

Check it out, I got over 2000 points! ;) In all honesty though, great work! I like the use of theme by going deeper and deeper into the woods. Playing the actual game without falling off the edge, I can appreciate the direction this game is heading and the potential you guys have as game developers. This is exciting stuff!

yah cool idea. some colliders to keep the cheaters out of the woods. i made it to 6000 before i gave up :) yah slowing down should not be so quick. or at all. and i died or hit a tree and i was no where near it. at least it didn't look like i was near it. Good start. it was a tuff weekend for us all.

Cool game :) I like how the trees looked. Like some others said there is no danger present You could try to ad some other effect, like if you stop the points start going down until you speed up again ( I dunno if that works, this is just an alternative idea to the usual "something is chasing"). Some music would go a long way for this.

Could have been more fun with some challenge as others have said but it is a nice job for two 14 years old guys, keep it up ! Don't forget to add some sound next time (music, sfx) ; You can even do some with your mouth and some tweaking on audacity, it is fun ! (On our entry, the drill engine is done like that for instance). Have a good one.
A great little game :D Keep it up boyz!

Great toy if you're just starting out! Obviously this is more of a technical demo, but why not offer some game design advice. In the future if you want some more engaging design, think about at least these two things: Choice, and surprise.
**Choice:** Choice is having more than one option, you can't pick all of them, and good choice means that you impact the game in some way. It also means that there isn't one "obvious" choice. What choices does the player make each second, each minute, over the whole game? Did they learn something from the choice?
**Surprise:** We like things to shock us, as long as it's consistent with what we know about the game. So for each second, minute, and over the whole game - what things surprise the player? Can we add some surprising moments? When they make choices, what's surprising about the result (without making it feel random)?
Cool tech demo! Great start. I'd suggest thinking about some of these things, and see if you can add some more choice/surprise into it while changing as little as possible (just one little thing, and see how it affects the game, and repeat). Awesome stuff finishing your first LD!
Nice work for your age. Moving forward, think about the design of the game a bit. There needs to be an incentive for the player and there needs to be variation. Maybe next time also try adding some music and sound effects and maybe even spend some time animating a ball or some moving obstacles like falling branches, etc. Otherwise, great work you two.
