I liked the music and the art of the game, but i got stuck on one level as the enemies didnt seem to be taking damage.

My considerations are: the music is not matching with the game and its too loud. The final boss I couldnt understand what to do, and how it gets hit. The art its fine but could be better. Too many dialogues.

Very fun game. It's pretty manageable at first, but it all gets uphill on the 6th floor (I swear I hit him so many times and he just didn't die).

Very nice art and a solid top down shooter but the sixth floor is wayyy too hard.

@tomas-poblete @malfeasance @alexio-games Some enemies you fight (first boss and some enemies later on) are only vulnerable to damage during specific time frames. That's to incentive the player to strategize and time their attacks accordingly and make the game challenging in a way other than making enemies damage sponges (can't make super complex AIs on a Jam's timeframe either sadly). The way the boss attacks works were also meant for the player to think about their positioning and avoid filling the arena with killer orbs and get stuck with nowhere to go. Bosses were meant to be a challenge, though maybe we did make it too hard..

The main battle music reminded me of F Zero X on the N64! Pretty cool stuff, I got to level 19 without dying so I don't know if there were more spells? I played it like Path of Exile, go for damage and cooldown reduction! Art style was really nice and cutesy lighthearted.

The hitboxes on the boss that spawn those blue circles were too big though and I them on the first pixel contact, so that's one thing that could improve the feel of the fighting. Good work!

@autogibbon The last spell you unlock at Depth 14, they can be changed at the fountain. Game ends at Depth 20 (final boss), but there's an endless mode afterwards. Thanks for palying!

O jogo ficou mt booooom!!! Eu tive um pouco de dificuldade de localizar o mouse em alguns momentos de muita loucura na tela. O marcador azul me atrapalhou um pouco na hora de coordenar os movimentos, mas nada que estragasse a diversão do jogo. As mecânicas ficaram muito boas, o cenário então nem se fala.

Nãao consegui progredir muito nas minhas 3 primeiras tentativas, parei no que seria o primeiro boss, a tela ficou cheia de elementos que me davam dano no chão e ao me locomover a parte de cima da sprite colidia com o circulo azul no chão, talvez o tipo de colisor pra esse momento pudesse ser diferente dos outros colisores e fosse mais para o meio do personagem, deixando a parte da cabeça do personagem, livre.

Me diverti muito jogando, e fiquei muito curioso pra saber até aonde vai essa história. Vi que tem a versão 1 de outros edições anteriores, estou ansioso para ver a evolução dos conceitos de ambos os jogos.

Great work! Nice variety of spells and enemies. I like the jumping enemies a lot! I thought the final boss was cool with needing to use part of it as cover but that blocking your fire shots. Great game!

gabriel, o tamanho da tela tá grande não deu para ler o dialogo inicial, tirando o tamanho da tela, acho q tá legal o jogo

I really like how you move on to the next level by choosing which powerup you want, really neat! Gameplay is fluid and well animated. A bit text heavy in the beginning, that's just a little bit much to read in one chunk, would be nice if it was more spread out!

Overall this is a really great entry. I don't really think the music is paired poorly. I like it and feel like it sets the right intensity for the game. The only soundfx that bothered me is the footsteps, which seemed louder than they should have been. Love the graphics and the controls.

I really spent too much time on this game xD this is great, if I would say add something it would be just some polish(camera shake, particles, etc) other than that this game is great, i loved it!

Lovely and fun game! The damage feedback on some enemies requires a bit of fine tuning as the visual doesn't come through as good on darker enemies.

Fun game. With more spells and more bosses I could see this being a paid game. I wish you had the description of the power ups just in the tooltip when you stood over it. I had fun unlocking endless mode.

Really fun entry, this needs to be developed further as I was hooked with what the game already has. Amazing job!
