Nice entry. Enjoyed it, Minor feedback: in my opinion it would have been cooler if you would keep progressing on the same ground from run to run.

Grover is a cute little guy. You should have definitely also implemented purchasable upgrades to swimming and digging speed! The inspirations for this game are pretty obvious, but its still a nice entry :D

Cool game! I like the mechanics, though it does get a bit repetitive. It would have been nice to stay on the same ground though. The graphics are great.

A nice game with interesting mixture of mining deeper and swimming deeper!

Nice game, I would love to keep going into the same shaft I've built, because sometimes there was nothing and the upgrade isn't cheap. Atleast I found a feature, that's where you exit full screen and go beyond the game screen with your cursor, it seems you are quicker by a lot.

Totally in theme. I like the shop system. Would be cool to be able to buy different things too!

Fun little game, I like the looks of Grover a lot, simple but also cute. As others already said, I also think it would've been cooler to keep the same world to dig in. Upgrades to mining and diving speed also would've been a nice addition. I don't like, that you go faster the further your mouse cursor is away. Nonetheless nice game altogether.

This has some features I wanted to implement for my own entry, that has some similarities :)

Nice game overall, maybe things could have been made a bit more difficult.

The game reminds me a bit about my first entry all the way back at LD27. However, your game definitely is much prettier than my game was back then!

Might need some more depth to the gameplay, different upgrades and stuff, but hey, it is a solid entry, well done!

Interesting concept. I think it is a bit slow paced.

A big issue I have though is that when you go to the surface to sell, you loose the tunnel you've already made.

The graphics were a bit crap, but it was cool how the diver had different mining animations depending on their orientation.

The sound design was okay, but the music loop was just a bit too short.

What this game needs most is more upgrades. As it stands, the only upgrade is more oxygen, which has one fatal flaw as an upgrade: it doesn't *really* change how the game plays. It lets the player play for longer, which is *important*, as that lets them get farther down in the map.

But to really *engage* the player, there needs to be something that really feels worth working towards. Right now I don't particularly want to upgrade my oxygen all the way, as I don't really want to slowly dig all the way down to the bottom of the map.

If I could upgrade my movement and mining speed to be really fast, however, I definitely would want to do that! I would be super interested in playing if I could make myself faster and faster, and I would then definitely play long enough to get to the bottom. Because that kind of progression where things feel better and better to play is *really* like, a good incentive.

Even if the total cost of all the speed upgrades would be way more than the total cost of the oxygen upgrades as it stands, I would definitely do all the work to get those upgrades. It is just more engaging to get upgrades that make the player character more powerful, as it is enjoyable to feel powerful.

At least, that's my analysis of the upgrade system in this game. I hope you find it at least somewhat useful!
