Nice little game ! The cycle between a shooting level and a falling level was a good idea, but the falling sections are sooo hard ! I could't reach deeper than level 3. Anyway good luck for your future projects !
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Chicken Robot on Mars

The falling section was way too hard, i beartly made it to stage 3, but i really like the way the light / pov changed with aiming direction
The combat is nice and feel even on a keyboard good! The part were you falling down is an cool idea but I died to often to continue playing.
As everyone is saying the falling section is too hard. I just begann memorising the spiks. But I managt to hit every one of them in the start. But the switch in game play is nice and refreshing each time. Fun game!
As the previous commenter said -- memorizing spikes is the way! I've also barely made it to stage 3 >,<. I like the lighting effect, enemies variations and availability of the Linux version!
Nice game! Wasn't able to reach the 4th room, always dying on the spikes. That you can't really do anything about them except memorizing feels a bit unfair. The style & art are lovely, the controls feel smooth, and overall the game looks fun, good job!
Cool little game, similar to the binding of isaac, but with the falling added to it. As many others have said, the falling is a bit too fast. But thankfully you made the respawns instant so you can get right back in the action. Literally making the falling speed maybe 10-15% slower and this game would be great!
Really great lighting!
Really cool game, nice pixel art, maybe tweak the lighting a little bit? overall amazing game, keep up the great work!
Amazing game
I liked the way lighting was handled overall, there is a neat dynamic when the bullets are visible in the dark but you can't see the enemies in the dark. Same thing for how you can only see where you're moving, but you can also shoot in all directions. Made combat interesting to play! I'd say that the falling segments are the hardest part, since it felt like the only way to progress past those parts is to memorize them.
Cool little twin stick shooter-like game! The controls were smooth and I appreciated the sound effects, they worked well with the graphics you've used. The falling section felt really unfair however, with no indication of what was going on or - enough time to react. While I wanted to try and get further into the game, I felt like the falling section was too much of a trial and error rather than a segment that involved skills/something I could get better at.
Great idea! but the horizontal movement of the falling section is too slow, so i cant dodge the obstacles. Great Work on the lighting!
Hey, That last level just repeats. Took many tries to get there though. As everyone else have said, the falling sections were impossible to react to. At least they were not random. I made a note of them in a text file. A solid game but it was a bit hard.
It was a fun game although I found the falling sections very hard to dodge as you barely have enough time and there was no warning as to where they were coming from. Apart from that good job!
@someone Damm I didn't think someone would finish the game lmao.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments on the game it was our first Ludum Dare and the first time we used Godot so it was a big learning experience but a really cool one I think we're gonna try to finish it and make it a proper game and try to incorporate all the return you gave us thank you so much !
Very cool! The falling sections felt unfair, but I liked the gameloop of falling and fighting, one after the other. The cone of vision in front of your character added a very interesting lighting aspect to the game and made the combat challenging in a cool way. The combat also just looked so neat because the only light sources were your cone of vision and the blips of light around the projectiles whizzing across the screen. Didn't care for the character or environment art, but the lighting and game mechanics more than made up for it!
The spikes are so annoying, even though I know where they are going to spawn, still very hard to avoid them.
