I wanted to play this game since I saw a picture of it in one of your post. I can say I don't regret it. I love the game mechanic, there are so many possibilities with it ! I could see an arcade game with different types of blocks, some that you could not move, some that get destroyed when you put them next to other...

And the fact that it's made with pico8 makes it even more incredible. Well done !

Fun little open-ended puzzle game. I felt a bit frustrated with the feel of the grabbing mechanics, but I understand why you've set it up this way. Nice work.

Not bad! I don't know exactly how to progress a lot, but it's awesome looking!

Nice! Very satisfying to play, although it feels like there might some really long-winded optimal strategy that I wouldn't be able to figure out. Got to depth 7 on normal mode on my first try.

wonderful game. I love the algorithmic problem solving aspect, the visuals are great too. The music drove me a little insane though :D

Really excellent game! I just beat the normal mode and had so much fun figuring everything out. And looking at the challenge mode it seems like a fun twist. It did get a little bit tedious at times, which could be reduced by making the board smaller, but ultimately I think the board size was good for being able to figure out strategies and patterns.

I loved how this puzzle with rather simple rules results in such complexity! I wasn't able to beat the challenge mode, but it's definitely something I'm going to be going over in my head for the next few days. One of the things I'd love to see in the game is an undo button, cause I found myself getting a certain distance realizing I made a mistake and then wishing I could simply undo to that point instead of restarting from scratch.

good work on your first pico-8 game! I love seeing more pico-8 puzzle games :)

I found it a bit too repetitive to figure out the implied puzzle, but I recognize that there's an interesting puzzle at the heart of this game that I did not fully solve. nice job!

Really a great puzzle! It was very well executed in pico8. My imagination boils over trying to figure out how you made it "3D" (I'm a beginner in pico8). The music could be a little better. This extremely small looping gets a little tired. There is a question: Is there an end to this game?

Congratulations!

zachary-barbanell 2021-05-04 22:40

@euler-moises Yes, there is an end, when you reach (what I believe to be) the highest possible score.

Really nice entry! It was very oddly satisfying- was just mindlessly organizing things how I felt would be most efficient and was pleasantly surprised by the simple end screen :D

Very fun mechanic. And I loved the isometric graphics - an amazing effect on a PICO8!
