Interesting concept. But I don't know if I am horrible at that game or just the game is not intuitive :/
Intriguing gameplay and mechanics that reminds me of a grid-map puzzle game from the LD45(Start from nothing)(I think that's the 1st overall rating of Compo?). Though I have to ask how the 1st place of raking reached over nearly 50km o7
I found the idea very interesting, I had to anticipate each tile. I was able to reach level 6, but I think there is some bugs with the score, I restarted with my ancient score.
Great game! It isn't quite clear to me what the "gems" did during the game (maybe for the score?), but I just tried to get as deep as I could ahah
With some more improvements, this could be a really nice pearl!
Definielty comming back to crack that 49k hoghscore XD
Great concept, I think if would be better if you could see more clearly which blocks will move. Feel like this could be really fun with a bit more development
Cool concept, but either I'm not understanding something or sometimes maze generation creates something that's impossibe to beat
@lev maybe you missed clicking the arrows to move the maze?
@cybermuell Ahh, yep, that's it, thanks! I'll give it another try then :D
Alright, now after *properly* playing it, I really like it! I love how as soon as music starts getting boring, another layer of it appears The rope sometines acts weird, and also I was able to clip through walls a couple of times when moving layers, but other than that - the game is really impressive :)
:P

@lev Fixed in the latest release ;)
This is a really interesting idea and I had a lot of fun with it. It's pretty mind bending, though I eventually got the hang of it. I had some trouble imagining what the configuration would be after an operation, but I think that's on me  I think there's a lot of potential here for even more.
Great work on it.
This is a very cerebral game! Took a few tries to understand the tile placement mechanic, but found it really satisfying to place a tile and offset the maze in a way to find a good path downward. Very innovative mechanic! I couldn't figure out how to use a specific tile to make complex moves- most of the time I used any tile in my inventory so that I could just offset the maze in a way that I could continue further. Using tiles like this still works well, I'm just bad at reading a few moves ahead. It's worth noting that it looks like the character has an intro animation where the controls don't seem to work until they're done animating (they say Rock and Stone when they are controllable)- I thought my keyboard wasn't working for the first few attempts at first, but I got past it. All in all, nice work!
This is a very satisfying puzzle/exploration game! Reminds me of Labyrinth (the boardgame). I did run into a bug where my character clipped out of the play area when going from the left-side to the right-side. There was a wall on the right side that should have prevented crossing over, but maybe because the screen was scrolling the game got confused (I had just fallen down a pretty long shaft). Despite that bug, I still enjoyed spelunking and rearranging the caves! I think this is a cool idea for a puzzle rogue-like, and would love to see it developed further.
Had some issues running this but I really like your concept
What a fun little game. The platforming felt satisfying and the puzzle element was really fun, trying to figure out the best way to place the tiles. I encountered a bug, where I sent the miner flying out of the play area, but that didn't take anything away from the fun experience. The game felt a little short at times, but that is probably just because I'm bad at it.
Overall nice and fun game
