Could you make a zip file instead of an installer ? I'll test a lot of games, and I don't want to clutter my PC with a lot of installation left overs.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → We have to dig deeper

ok
Not entirely sure how attacking is meant to work, but I love the graphics!
To attack, you need to face the enemy and press the right trigger or the left mouse button. Then a knife will appear over the character's head.
nice graphics
Looks very professional! It has a lot of potential to continue developing it
Woow such a good art.
It looks pretty nice and has a fairly strong atmosphere. I did not really get what to do in the shop/menue tho, neither if my attacks actually do something to the monsters. I believe some small effects to show the area of attack and a little bit more explanations on the ludum dare page would do the trick.
Nice graphics. But the combat is difficult to understand. Maybe an indication of the afecter area when you attack would help. Btw... what do I have to do with the coins?
Hi, nice job, the game looks cool. However, I have some advice I can give you about a few things : - Menu : the buttons (interactable objects) are the same color as the background making it unclear. Maybe you should outline the buttons with a brighter color or put a filter of some kind on the background to fade it a little bit. - Game Design : The objective is not clear. Do I have to defend the blue thing in the middle ? No, because the slimes destroyed it and nothing happened. Do I have to survive the longest I can ? Maybe, but I don't see no score and the only thing I can get are coins which are only used to buy bread. According to the title of your game I was expecting as score (in meters for example) that increase the deeper I go (survive. - Gameplay : Attacking feels awkward... there's a kind of timing to get but you can't really attack without taking a hit back can you? - Graphics : nothing to say, you master this already ;)
Hope you don't take this bad, I'm just trying to help you improve your game because I think it's the start of a good project :). Good luck fellow.
Great art style! The slimes really seem like they glow. The attacking is pretty clunky though; sometimes when I face the monster and click, the knife appears but the crosshair part doesn't and the slime spams me with damage. A decent LD entry.
Wow, thanks for the feedback. Perhaps it is worth answering the questions.
-The thing in the middle is the core, initially you were supposed to protect it, but I didn't have time to do this mechanic.
-Monsters should have a damage animation, but it's broken and doesn't work at all.
-Of course, I will fix the attack, add animation and most likely make the combat more understandable
-shop is needed to buy bread(quick heal)
-the game is so called because it was originally planned to make the city-stations going far underground, but due to the fact that I actually had only a day and a half, I did not have time to do it.
Hey hey, I guess I'll repeat what people already told, but yeah it's really hard to understand what's going on for the combat, like when enemies attack, when you can attack, when you take damage etc... would be great to have more feedback on our actions.
Overall I also find the movement and attack animation quite slow, while you usualy want to have more "fast" actions and movements with this type on "action based" gameplay, so you might want to speed up the things.
But, despite this, I find the game cute and I really liked your graphics, I was like "Waa, it's smooth, works well together, and there a lot of graphic content for a 48h jam" so big  there.
Anyway yeah overall that's a cute game and Bravo to you for doing this in 48h, really hope you'll try to push the game a little further with a post jam version o/
Couldn't figure out the combat, ended up kiting the enemies around the perimeter while they all danced in the center lol. After reading your comment about the sword hold up doing damage I managed to hit a few, but it was kinda tricky not to get hit while doing so. Controls work well otherwise and the art looks incredible. Would be interested to see the upgrade system realized. Thanks for the game!
I'm not a very good player, so I had trouble killing at least one enemy. Unfortunately, I always ran out of lives very quickly. I would definitely change the system of combat. Otherwise, I really like the style of graphics.
Graphics are amazing. I would love to see classic battle system in this game and after hitting slime, it would bounce around walls.
,
The game was really hard because the slimes could attack you from super far away. Other than that, the art was super nice and the game had a theme.
Interesting concept and take on the theme! Gameplay is pretty fun and visuals look good! Nice work! :)
Most problems I had with the game have already been mentioned (or fixed, as I see in the update), but still wanted to say very very well done on the graphics, I'd say it matches some published games' quality.
Loved the visuals and the sound design. Took me a while to figure the combat out though and I think with a little polish to the combat, some music and a few different enemy types that would be an even cooler game. Very solid enrty.
It looked pretty but I couldnt figure out how the controls work or what the menu at the start meant
@cavedens do you mean this menu? изображение_2021-05-07_101508.png
@lisichka yup. Not really sure what all that means :D
@cavedens here you can buy bread for two coins (those coins that fall from the slime). Bread-it is necessary for the heal of the character (press the right mouse button or the "a" button on the xbox joystick or the cross on the PS joystick)
It looked great and had a good mood to it. I had some trouble figuring out the controls; I think some feedback would have been useful (when attacking or otherwise).
I love the atmosphere and art direction here! The combat feels like it could be more clearly communicated though, specifically with range on both the player's and enemies' attacks. Good effort!
Great steampunk style! Recorded my play experience, hope, it will be helpful: https://youtu.be/j1byPindn9M
@general thank you for the video about my game!
You are welcome! :)
I like so muuuuuch the mood! But striking enemies feel pretty difficult, making that easier will improve the flow of the game a lot (at least for me)
But it's nice!
P.s.: I got 3 breads :p
@shoc when I play this game, it's also difficult for me to hit enemies (this is my first time doing this mechanic). 3 bread is cool))!
I played a little more today and realized my problem when I was streaming last night was that I was spam clicking a lot and for some reason that stops you from attacking. I was able to do a lot better today but there's a lot that needs to be communicated to the player:
-The attack range should be shown with a circle at least even if there's no sprite animation -I think the core is too similar color the enemies (unless there's narrative reasons for this) -The player hitbox seems inconsistent. When you move to the top of the platform, it looks like it collides with the players feet, but the enemies can kill you by touching the top of your sprite -The sound in the shop only plays on the right side it seems?
The graphics and sound is great and sets an awesome atmosphere and I can tell you have a lot of cool things planned with the locked symbols for the shop menu, controls, and the core in the middle of the platform. Get in touch with me after you make more progress and I would be more than happy to give more feedback if you are interested!
@itsboats Thank you for your review!) P.S. yes, the core should be similar to monsters, the fact is that the monsters are called: crystal slime, and the core is also made of crystal and because of this they go to it. P.P.S I too think hitboxes and attack radius should be added or corrected
