Our games have the same name, that got me interested right away.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Voyager

Not so bad, could imagine this as a nice mobile game. Graphics are simple but nice, could use some sounds or music, though - would enrichen the game. And maybe either a second level or some kind of endless mode so there is something to play after the "you win". Good work! (btw you need to play and rate others games to receive ratings yourself and reach the 20 ratings for a score at the end  )
@zondarg Thanks for reviewing the game. I will certainly look into adding sfx and music into the game. Also you're right and endless runner style would suit this game, I will look into implementing it.
Hey man, Congratulations on submitting a game to the Game Jam. An achievement all on itself. You can be proud.
However, your game is till a bit lacking in many regards. The movement feels very choppy and doesn't feel very smooth. Also; you might have a bit too much control for the challenge. It would be cool if the character would drag behind the mouse a bit; such that avoiding the asteroids would be more tense. The game now; is a bit too easy. Also my laptop seems to launch as if the spaceship your guy went on; transferred to my laptop. So maybe investigate how you can improve performance for your future projects? You can look into object pooling and disabling off-screen objects.
The drawn art felt very coherent though. It fit well with the rest of the assets. Maybe make the particle systems also fit the same aesthetic?
Good luck and I am already curious of what you'll be able to do in a half year's time!
Fun game! As zondarg has already said, an endless mode with score could be a good addition. Good job making the game!
Nice game. The particle effects are a nice touch.
@thesyntheticbrain Thanks for playing the game and reviewing it. Yeah I agree on the fact that movement was really snappy and choppy and maybe some smoothing or delayed turn would make it more challenging. I would surely look into adding that to the game along with the endless mode. About the performance issue, I really don't know what's causing it as I destroyed the asteroids as soon as they left the screen, maybe particle system was acting up so I'll look into that. Again thanks for playing the game, have a good day :)
@tygrak Thanks for playing and for review of game, yeah I will surely add an endless mode in it. Have a good day mate :)
@flying-dog-fish Thanks for playing and reviewing the game man, i am glad you like the effects as I will add much better ones in future along with some performance improvement. Cheers Mate :)
I Won!
Nothing to add that others haven't already mentioned. Congratulations on finishing a solo entry, a feat in itself.
the graphics in the game in my opinion are too simple (I advise you to use pixel art next time, it is less time-consuming, and it hides many shoals of drawing).
@lisichka Thanks for playing the game and taking the time to review it. Really appreciate it. I personally wanted to use pixel art, I love the effect but I'm not that great at it(drawing in general), that being said I will learn it and implement it in future games. Cheers mate :)
Pretty solid entry. As far as the graphics, I actually find them kinda cute, although I'm sure they were supposed to be meteors, my brain saw them as looking more like potatoes in space. So, guide the astronaut through the SPACE POTATOES to get to the black hole!
I do agree that any music or sounds can help. If you're a noob like me, I recommend using SFXR https://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html
While I was typing this, I remembered seeing an HTML5 port, so I put that here too as well: http://github.grumdrig.com/jsfxr/
Ok, it took me 3 attempts to win, but I won. It is a nice entry.
@rubixnoob13 Thanks for playing the game and for reviewing it. I agree I kind of messed up the art but i'm glad you liked it and thanks for the tools, will use these in next game. Always had trouble with music :( Thanks again. Have a great day :)
@lepoulet Thanks for playing the game and for the review. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Impressive for a solo game! Fun, little run and dodge style gameplay. Like a few people have mentioned, music or sound would add a lot to the experience, but I still enjoyed it! Good job!
@gregoryblomquist Thanks for playing and reviewing the game. Yeah i will definitely add music and sfx in future games. Glad you enjoyed it mate :).
