Ultimately, this game was very confusing. I didn't realize that I was on a timer until I was given a game over screen. I think the descriptions of job responsibilities are supposed to unclear as a joke, but I just didn't know what I was supposed to go on to decide whether to hire or dismiss.
Was kind of lost, feel like there is a fun little concept in here you just need to bring it out

I could not figure out how to actually make money so the game ended up being just "hire or reject barnyard animals until you go broke".

Loved the concept, but the game was a bit confusing and it was hard to figure out what to do

I was hoping this would be a game playable from a browser when I saw the screenshots. Oh well. It was a bit funny that you decided to include the almost empty Game Over scene as one of the images :)
It is interesting to see multiple HR-themed games this jam, I guess that's a commentary on the corporate culture of our times, eh?

@sean-holloway Thanks for the feedback. Yea the randomly generated text has no correlation to anything at this moment.
@blind-lemon-games Yea, I agree it needs be made a little less confusing and more clear. Thanks!
@ceasar Thanks! Yea, that sounds like something we need to work on.
@andreo200 Agreed.
@bobparis75 Thanks!
@ditam Browser support added! Lol yea, that probably isn't the most exciting screenshot. LOL yes!
@eugenik Thanks!
Thanks everybody again for the feedback. I'll try to make some adjustments!

As people already mentioned I also felt fairly lost during the game. I managed to reach day 20 once but was still not sure how I'm actually earning money.
I feel that a game around funny job applications has lots of potential. But needs a little more polishing :)
Ok, don't take it the wrong way, but I find your game too confusing… The way the funds works completely puzzled me. As it is, it's a complete black box and it gives no clue on how my decisions affect the game.
I would suggest this points to improve the gameplay: - Be transparent on how the funds is computed. - Show additional informations on the CV to help the player with his choice. Something like this: exemple.png - Give the player a way to keep track of who's working on his company. - Don't decrease the funds of the company right away (this can be fixed with the following point) - Increase the timer only once the player hires someone (right now, you can cheese the game by spamming the «hire» button like crazy the first day, wait for the next and see if the funds increases… If it doesn't `F5` and repeat). - Add events that will force the player to adapt and change its strategy (someone leaves the company, retires, break it's leg… whatever you want). - In case you implement the event system, you should let the player keep some of the CV.
The procedural CV is a very nice feature and I enjoyed reading the generated lines. Good job on your game.
Interesting idea and some funny cvs. The gameplay is confusing though. It seems the best strategy is to do nothing or reject everyone.

I like the simplicity of the game and the concept. Could be nice to have a little tutorial on money system
It's an interesting concept and would love to see it fleshed out a bit more. I did feel that there was too much text to read relative to the burn rate of my funds - although maybe that is a consequence of my [poor] hiring decisions.

@mrbamboo Hmm...that sounds like a good idea as well. Thanks!
@toaster Yea, this didn't get as far as I was hoping it would during the timespan. I'm really wanting to add more. Thanks for the feedback!

After a week of receiving rejection letters for my internship, this game is all I ever wanted. Let me hire y'all! I agree with some of the comments: - A way to keep track of the /diversity/, the skills and what are your goal could be beneficial - A fox --> to reduce the number of employees when it becomes too much ;) - Easier way to manage happiness? I'm rich as hell but my employees are very unhappy? - Better UI design and better placement of the pictures.
Everything feels quite unfinished and unpolished. A greater UI could play a lot in your game. Maybe as well a menu and quick presentation? Good job otherwise!

@pedrocoden Thank you!
@frecklebars Thanks! Yea, there is some work to do to make this more clear. The game doesn't hate cows though!
@aubryman Lol. Yea, having a better way to keep track of the diversity / skills, and the goal are good ideas. A fox? Hmm... Yea happiness management is a mess here. Rich as hell and unhappy employees...lol. Yea this part does need attention. Yea, the UI could be a lot better...that's true. This is really helpful feedback. Thank you!
