Really good game. Controls are flawless and graphics are awesome. It's good you start with many hearts or I had lost very fast, lol.

Really good game. Controls are flawless and graphics are awesome. It's good you start with many hearts or I had lost very fast, lol.
Really nice! I thought it would have been an easy run becouse you start with so many lives, than I figure out why. To reach the end in time you have to rush a little and use the dodge button quite a lot :D
Great game! I am not sure how it is possible to create such a good game for 48 hours actually. The only thing is controls.. its hard for me to use S or W. But it is matter of habbit I guess.
So good, the polish on this game is phenomenal. I am really impressed with the level of detail that has gone into the art style, visual effects and sound design. The screenshake, slow motion and everything just comes together so well to make a brilliant game :D
Super cool game! The graphics are neat, the feeling of jumping, dodging and firing are perfect. I would have even preferred simpler controls, like double jump instead of dodging or something like that. But very polished and nice game, congrats!
Great entry. Fun to play, looks great, the audio fits it nicely. One of the best compo entries I've seen so far. Good job!
absolutely fantastic entry, the gameplay and visuals especially stand out. congrats on making such a polished game for compo, very impressed :D
Incredibly polished for a compo entry. Great feedback for every action. A couple things on Controls I wish it had controller support, never been great at 2d shooters that required a mouse to aim, I think playing with a controller would elevate the whole thing. Also I found myself struggling that with the two different jump buttons. Spacebar and W are both common jump buttons and I kept hitting one of them expecting the other thing to happen. I would try and jump from the ground with W, and sometime try and dash with Space, just out of habit... Assuming there is no prolonged jump, which it seems like there isn't, I think dash and jump would be better mapped to the same button, I prefer W. I get those are some nit picky things for a comp project, again this game feels super polished regardless of the fact that its a comp project. Great Job!
Fantastico! That's some piece of work you got there. A lot better then most jam entries by teams with multiple people :) well done! Not only does it control very snappy, has solid jump&run controls and even a dodge mechanic, it also has sound effects and even a musical track that keeps getting faster when the time starts to run out. From a game design standpoint, you really did tick all boxes. It was a good call to use the theme to your advantage and recycle the level like that. It was small but had enough potential to be varied with each iteration. The enemies were pretty basic, but even in this department, you did more than most do and implemented multiple types.
I only have a couple of issues I ran in which might be some valuable feedback: Sometimes, the jumps felt a little off. I fell down a couple of ledges even though I thought that the jump was timed ok. Maybe adding a few "lenience" frames when falling of the ground in which the player can still jump normally. I usually add those in my platformers to prevent such issues. The other issue comes down to visibility. All the camera shaking and HUGE bullets really took away from my ability to dodge enemy bullets and/or see if hit anything. Especially in the last iteration, there are A LOT of enemies and was really hard to see anything.
But that's really all I can give you :) All in all a VERY good experience. Good job!
Very fun and satisfying game, a lot of juicy shakes, vlambeer would be proud
Nice shaky game, 10/10!
Nice game. Loved the gameplay and the graphics, everything felt very polished.
Reusing the same level layout was also a pretty smart way to use the compo time efficiently.
Pretty cool! I like the idea. The music made me super tense by the last level... which I then failed.
I enjoyed this as well timer got me too, good use of mechanics to keep it from getting repetitive, good job! Only obvious crit from me is I would have liked to have a way to dodge from idle since muscle memory from other games pushed me to stand then dodge at the last moment.. so it felt a bit unsatisfying when this resulted in my character just standing still and getting hit.
Really fun movement mechanics, and everything is just so satisfying to use. Great job on the juice! I recognize that the level is supposed to be the "stuck in a loop" part, and that does fit the theme well, but it does get a little samey after a while. At least some visual difference would have been nice. I don't think that that's a huge problem, though. I like you only start the timer after the first portal, which allows the player to learn about the controls without pressure.
This was really satisfying to play! I really loved the hair on your character, this pixel art was immaculate. Good work!
Everything in this game _feels_ really good. The sound effects and screenshake and particles were all really fantastic.
It might have been worth tweaking the difficulty in some way; especially since on your first playthrough you don't know exactly how long the game will be and don't know how much time you have per level. (For instance, the later levels take longer since there are more enemies to fight and dodge.)
The ending was also slightly unsatisfying, but I'm not sure what could have been done there that wouldn't have taken a lot of time.
Anyway, the gameplay more than makes up for these minor complaints. The controls feel responsive and everything has the right amount of "kick" to it. Good job.
P.S. The gun reminds me a lot of the pistol from Quake 2...
Totally loved this game. thank you so much for sharing this as this was well polished. I love it! Please think about extended this
