The game is interesting, but there are several problems. In the first level, if you aren't moving fast enough you just fall down the hole into the abyss instead of looping. The puzzles seem to have some design flaws. For example, I was able to complete the second level by only moving the first box onto the first pressure plate, then just jumping down a few holes, standing on a red pressure plate, then going to the door (I assume the other pressure plates and boxes were meant to be used).

@spacialseasoning Yeah, we do have some bugs left, but I'm glad you found the game interesting, thank you for feedback!

Really impressive that you come up with a really original idea in such a short time for a puzzle game. It has some flaws of course.

- Gameplay can be more fluid. Maybe character speed can be increased or sth idk. - Also there are some minor bugs, but of course they are nearly inevable for such a short development time. + Great art style. Unquestionable. + Great idea!!

A bit more polishing and you will have a playable cool game, which has future in my opinion.

Nice aesthetics - the movement however ... ouch they are a bit slow... liked the graphics

Congrats on the entry

fantastic idea, but the movement is too slow!

spacecadet 2020-10-07 11:10

Cool idea for a puzzle game. I would increase the player speed as now it feels a bit dull when it takes ages to get to the other side of the level as the other game mechanics are more like trial and error. On the first level, if you push the box too hard it doesn't land on the button and just disappears. On the second level once you push the second box on the top left and try to get back the player just falls and doesn't appear on the other side. When going to the other direction the box gets stuck on the small bridge before the green button so I couldn't get pass the second level. Other than that I liked the art and the audio of the game. With more polish and bug fixes this could be interesting puzzle game.

I don't think it's a good design choice to make the teleports invisible. In the first level, as @spacialseasoning mentioned, you can miss the teleport if you fall of the ledge. And so I thought falling down to the pit was not a way to go, but fortunately I tried to jump across the pit and the S key did not work, so I just teleported. That's how I found there is a teleport to the top platform. What is the S key supposed to do? The idea is good, the art is good, but for me, the mechanics just don't work well.

gudner 2020-10-07 11:14

@cinar @purpledartfrog @dhavavamba Thank you all so much for the feedback! My friend and I had arguments about the speed of the character, it was me who insisted on the slow movement speed, my bad I guess

gudner 2020-10-07 11:20

@ondy1985 The S key lets you jump off the platform bridges. Yeah, i agree that we should've made the teleports more obvious, but we hadn't realized how at that moment

That's an interesting concept of gameplay, and you clearly made the most of it, there are a lot of ideas in the level design too. Sadly I find the game way too slow for a platformer. That's a shame because overall I like the presentation and I enjoy this kind of mix between platorm and puzzle.

Agree with what was said here - movespeed could be higher and I don't understand why the looping works only once. I like the idea of not being able to jump, the execution is a tad bit lacking. The graphics are clean. As @spacecadet said, the box gets stuck on the bridge in the second level... It's game jammy and the idea is great, execution could be better, but that's learning and I think that having a game that can be played is a win here. Great job on finishing!

Pretty simple yet effective. I like the idea. What I love the most is the moody purple aesthetics. It just gives me dark vibes which fit great :)

lovely colour pallete and a nice game idea. The movement was very slow though so it was frustrating when i had to restart! great job!

macmist 2020-10-07 13:27

Also got the box stuck on the bridge in second level. In the description it says E to grab box but I could not make it work, don't know if there is another type of box later that you can grab or if this was a bug. Apart from that I really liked the idea, it makes for interesting puzzles. The music is really cool with a mysterious feeling to it. And graphics are cool as well. Great work, it would make for a great game once the few issues are resolved

Interesting idead and Game. The Concept is pretty cool but has unfortunatley a lot of issues and bugs.

I think the Character is just moving too slow and it happens a lot that you just fall when you leave the screens to right or left and has to restart the whole level which is a bit frustrating.

But overall a great idea and it is totally worth to stick on. Just keep polishing and fixing the game, then the idea could be really cool.

Well done
