This is a criminally underrated game! I loved the 'make it special' stat as it really gave a whole new level of replay-ability and imagination to the game - good job!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Toy Wars

I loved this - it was a fun opportunity to see my toys (or in my case, a box of colouring pencils and a laptop) in a new light!
This is AWESOME! I mean it. It's for the moment the best LD46 game I've seen. Outstanding job. It's short, it's simple and it's fun.
Such a great way to pick up the theme and certainly something I have never seen submitted to LD.
@squeg-inc @catplanet @chocolat-endive @peringo thanks very much for the great feedback so far everyone. really appreciate it and glad you all enjoyed the game!
I love the idea behind this, it was really fun to dig out some old action figures and imagine who were the heroes and who were the villains (and the boss)! However, when I started playing I got really confused by the line "Villains will have the same stats as you". Does that mean that if I increase my strength then the villains strength will increase as well? In that case its always just a matter of who rolls the highest, right? I mean, if we have the same stats, only the dice roll matters. I might have misunderstood something?
Anyway, this was a really inspiring entry and I like how it encourages imagination.
Cool to see something completely different on here. Good job.
hey @vidarn , so villains have the same base stats as you, but you can level up after you win a fight! :)
@skico ah, ok! I get it, thanks for the clarification 😁
I loved it! It has been a long time since my last roleplay. I enjoyed it a lot. I will make sure to play it with my brother.
I really like this concept as applied to this jam. It gives your toys "new life". BUT, as a game itself, it still works. I'd really like to borrow some of these concepts for a future project if you don't mind.
Great idea that can be easly ported to a rpg game
Awesome! Love the interpretation of the theme and the simple dice mechanics. Really creative, nice work.
