Great game! The graphics are awesome.

The graphics and audio in this game are both gorgeous. It's hard to understand what the blue and red robots do, but the rest is fairly understandable. Really nice game!

Amazing art work. I struggled a little to understand the mechanics though. overall, awesome work.

caeonosphere 2020-04-21 04:12

I was confused, I gotta admit! I read all the isntructions, but still couldn't figure out which tiles in which states contributed to factors like pollution. Really great art style. Love the clear Into the Breach influences. :)

Hi @caenosphere, thank you for playing our game and a detailed reading of the rules! :) The parameters of the planet are affected not only by tiles, but also by the actions of modules.

- Solid to liquid — Temperature +2, Pollution +3, H20 -1 - Liquid to gaseous — Temperature +1, Pollution +1, H20 -2 - Gaseous to liquid — Temperature -1, Pollution -1, H20 +2 - Liquid to solid — Temperature -2, Pollution -3, H20 +1 - Convertion — Temperature +2, Pollution +6, H20 -1 - Purification — Temperature -2, Pollution -6, H20 +1

This is a little complicated and unintuitive, so we will change the mechanics for the impact of parameters only through tiles. Thanks for the advice! We will soon post an update with tips and small corrections on the balance. We have big plans to change the puzzle mechanic in the post-jam version, we will be glad to hear feedback on it!

frankie-hobbins 2020-04-21 06:46

I'm equally as confused as I am impressed. I have no idea how to play but love it all the same.

alexjedi 2020-04-21 07:04

@frankie-hobbins, thanks for the feedback! Yes, we planned to make a puzzle and it came out a bit complicated. We plan to improve and simplify it.

To pass the level, you need to add conversion modules to tiles, the elements of which are more than what is needed in the order. Further, it is good to turn the necessary elements into solid ones so that they bring more of the original element. And in the end, do not forget about pollution and temperature! To do this, you have to put the purifiers on unnecessary tiles. Done!

I like the art style, and the concept is pretty cool, but i couldn't really follow the instructions, and fiddle around for a while which was a bit frustrating. Maybe you couldve implemented a tutorial if you had more time, that wouldve pushed the game to the next level, really cool man. i like it.

also on the html version some of the buttons kinda glitched

harry-alissavakis 2020-04-21 09:27

Amazing art (got some Into the Breach feels) and while I also had trouble figuring out how it worked, I was able to figure things out after a while. Lovely work with the music and the mechanics and a very well-made jam game overall, great job!!

Awesome game! A little complicated to understand, but it comes as you play.

grunlack 2020-04-21 17:37

Incredible game with beautiful graphics but very hard to understand

andrewjadams 2020-04-23 22:14

Love the graphics, love the concept, took me a bit to figure out balancing everything. Solid game.

Alright, got a planet converted fully according to client specifications!

Let's start with some suggestions for improvement: - The interface is very clean being divided into resources, general parameters and goals. But that means the goals are really far away from their values. Ideally, I'd see them side by side. - I'd also like to see what goals I already fulfill, and which I still need. - I think the modules work fine as is, but it would be nice to have a clear overview of what their secondary effects are, e.g. in a table. And you could display up/down arrows with numbers (or even with results!) in a nice goal/current resources/results view! - Is there *any* correlation between the fifteen states on the board and what they each produce? It seems to me that apart from solid/liquid/gaseous each counting down the main element by 1, their secondary elements and how much of each of these are completely random. This seems needlessly complicated.

Apart from being overly complicated though, this is pretty great. You especially nailed the FTL/Into The Breach look, feel and music! It also stands out as being pretty original among all the other LD games I have played this time. Good job!

PS: Still waiting for my 1M energy credits.

PPS: Play/rate/comment a few more games, please! It would be a shame if you don't reach the 20 ratings when being so close.

I agree with @tobiasw, it is really hard to gather all the information you need at a glance to play the game. The graphics are very nice!

duck-reaction 2020-05-03 11:40

Very nice concept with huge potential.

Nice graphics and sound, the UI is very clean, the game is polish. The main issue is the game is too complicated, it needs a tutorial phase and add game mechanic progressively in order to let the player understand all concept and mechanics.

Hope you'll get 20 ratings !

Overwall : good job !

I didn't understand the rules at first, but that doesn't matter. The game still blew me away, it is incredibly, INCREDIBLY, well done, polished and fun to play. The graphics are gorgeous, the synthwave soundtrack is subtle and stimulating and the controls are intuitive. The UI is beautiful to look at and the overall feel of the game must be probably the best I've seen in this ludum dare. Great job! *5 all the way.

The game looks awesome, I just wish I didn't suck so much. I wish that there was more than one contract, like perhaps the contracts could be randomised, or maybe give me access to a few different contracts of a range of difficulties. I felt like I needed a smoother ramp to be able to beat it, there was so much complexity and I was being thrown into what felt like a tough contract.

Still though, the game looks and sounds amazing. I can't believe that these graphics are for a jam game, seriously outstanding stuff. I'd appreciate a smoother difficulty curve, it's a lot to handle all at once. Otherwise, the game is great, I just wish I could get further. Congrats!
