Interesting, but without any sound or music, the game gets boring fast
It seemed like a throwback to the old top down WW3 games which I loved! Very hard to aim as the gun doesn't point at the cursor and is off slightly. Lack of sound causes there too be little to no feedback for the player. The concept was humorous and I really enjoyed the stick character's animations and style!
Interesting, but I don't understand the goal of the game. What is the toilet paper for? And shoul I protect my friend too? But I think It is a nice concept if I understand the game.. Nice!
@fermingimpel Thanks for trying it bud. @mailman Thanks!! I appreciate the feedback. It turns out (in regards to the aim) I cannot draw straight lines and the aim definitely suffered due to that. @piko-monde Hey, thanks for trying it! So the friend in the middle needs to be protected because they're stuck on the toilet. After each round of shooting there are scenarios with choices to be made that may need those rolls of toilet paper. If you end a round with no more TP (and none gained from the scenario) it's game over because who wants their friend to have a dookie butt?
@anchoredtoad Wow cool concept! It's your life or your butt then.
Haha it almost added character though? Like once I realized it kinda fit with the doodle art theme a bit!
It was a little bit hard to get through doors at times, I'm also not entirely sure why I had so much toilet paper stocked up. Its a good foundation.
Wasn't really sure what to do despite reading all instructions. The aiming felt a little off, not sure whether that was intentional for difficulty purposes. Also wasn't sure how to place turrets, right click didn't seem to do anything?
I really like the way the little guys heads bob around, a small thing but it has a lot of style. This sorta reminds me of the web game glory days with boxhead and those other zombie defense type things, the humor and art aren't my cup of tea but if you put it alongside the greats from that era...well it fits. (And at least makes a change in terms of jam game artstyles)- great job
As mentioned before some sound would be great, besides that its a cool game
@mincemeat Thanks for trying it out! Better to have a TP stockpile than not if you get caught with your pants down. @ch4oticau Thanks for playing, sorry about that - the turrets / barriers are both handled by right click after you're granted them from one of the post round scenarios! @jrap Thanks! That means a lot! It could definitely use A LOT of refining. Some of the other games on here are so beautiful and I'm just astounded like how is this possible during this timelimit?? @bakob I appreciate that! Thanks for playing it.
I think the UI required a little more of love. The game is fun. The characters are funny and the animations are good. The gameplay is also good, yet as everyone said, it would really benefit from some music. Nice work! The entrance of the rooms were kind of hard for me to see.
It has some nice feeling to it. Animations are great, but the surroundings would benefit from being cleaned up I think. Sound is obviously missing too.
Keep up the good work!
@rjerez192 Thank you! With the entrances I really should have made a different graphic, I repurposed that one way too much.
@galgris Thanks buddy!
Really silly and fun idea! Although, I think there was too much focus on adding content and mechanics. I think this would have really benefited from more polish and time spent on just the shooting mechanics. Stuff like adding sounds for when enemies are hit, and when shooting can really make a game feel much better!
Throwback to old school flash games. The lack of audio was a bummer and the shooting mechanics were clunky. Great animations though, and the destructible environment is a nice touch.
@kr4sh3 Thanks for trying it out. I definitely wish to come back and make the game refined and "juicy"! @watswat5 Thanks!
Pretty cool, a bit hard so a bit small game's lifetime, ze popo chair is a gute konzept! I like the MP40
sori fore maille angliche, I'm french ^^
I really liked the animations and the barrier mechanic!
It's pretty funny. It was a creative way to use the theme. I liked a lot the mechanic for the barriers, it had some brick breaker vibes to it haha very nice! The aiming was a little off and the game is hard as hell! Also, some sfx would be an amazing addition. Nice work!
Cool game, enjoyed playing it for a while. Getting to close to the wall and shooting, the bullets goes trough the wall instead of breaking it mini flaw. Liked the animations
@moustikaiser-von-stroheim Thanks for playing! I agree that I definitely made it start off way too difficult since most are not getting to the scenarios. No need to apologize, your English is better than I am at any other language!
@michael-peoples Thanks! They were fun to make.
@gquibao Thanks for the feedback! If I expand upon (redo entirely) this the plan is to make it start off easy and get exponentially more difficult rather than how it is right now where you just die.
@dimling Thanks for trying it! So that was actually intentional to be able to use the walls for cover. Kinda like how you can use structures for cover in 3rd person shooters. I was gonna have a skill tree to make the gun go farther and farther away (to the point of ridiculousness). However, if it seems better, I could instead make it so there's windows that the gun can go through and not every type of wall?
Really funny! especially the art. The shooting is a bit to slow for me, which made actually using the guns a little hard.
Maybe increase the bullet speed and maybe add a line of fire because it can be a bit difficult to see where the bullets are travelling to sometimes
@niels @mcreamer6 thanks for the feedback!
I like this, there's quite a lot to this game. Impressive work for a compo game! Such a pity it's too difficult for me to get anywhere. I would appreciate a version with the difficulty toned down a bit. Maybe give the player more ammo and shoot faster. Some other remarks, I would often lose sight of the gun in the action, I think it would be better to have the gun sprite closer to the player. Also maybe zoom out the action a bit more.
