Very solid platforming, with an impressive amount of visual / particle effects. Upon replaying, it seems both your level and your upgrade progression is different each time - very cool! One of the best-feeling platformers I've encountered so far.
Edit: Also wanted to point out how much I enjoyed "Sounds good!" to every garbage upgrade lol
Funny! I couldn't stop laughing at the blinky eyes. Cool that it’s procedurally generated. However the space is wayyyy too tight for the size and jump height of the robot. I kept repeatedly hitting my heat. And it was too hard to maneuver around because of this. You should either make the robot smaller or update the proc gen to make bigger, more open spaces. Very nice!
Love the graphics and tunes! Platforming is a bit fickle, though.
Fun game! Some of the "upgrades" were a bit more annoying than challenging, but it's a unique concept. Good work!
Nice game but felt a bit repatative and I wasn't sure if there is an end.. some eyes are much more difficult than others.. Maybe you need to ease into more difficult ones as well as each of those eye types should have a additional modifiers to make them easier in the beginning etc..
I love when you start the game you get immediately DESTROYED. LOL! The different pieces of garbage are well thought-out. The blinky eyes made me laugh.
Interesting concept and great execution for a procgen runner. Style was really well done and gameloop was satisfying. Would like to see more movement replacements if the level design would allow. Really earned the humor rating lol.
Great job! Only thing I didn't like is the effects were a bit harsh (TV screen effect). But overall super solid and felt polished! Definitely a challenge, but the checkpoints made it so I didn't mind dying at all.
I think the concept of getting new powers / having to replace parts with less functional ones is actually a neat idea, but here was underdeveloped. Specifically, I think the choice of having most of the power-ups either affect vision or movement got a little bit stale. Understandable, since it's a LD game, but i fear blinky eyes and CRT static eyes were harsh / distracting in a way that might create issues for some players. I thought the platforming could have been more spacious, as some of the powers made jumping very cramped. Overall, I think it wouldn't take long to improve this one significantly, just a few choices that got in the way of the experience. Good luck, and thanks for the game!
I enjoyed your game a lot! Playing-wise it needs some refinement (more space to maneuver? levels? more upgrades? more variety of obstacles?), especially the effects were a bit painful when playing for a while. However, I loved the humor, it made me chuckle more than once =)
I thought the controls were tough at first, but it was a innovative idea to have them change as you get updates, brings a new type of challenge to the player.
This is a very fun game! Cute robot. Nice level generation and effects. Let the robot jump higher!
