I thought the map was endless and procedural, so I just headed left! Got to $325 before I realised I had entered a featureless wasteland and was doomed to run out of fuel and oxygen without ever seeing scrap again.
I did have a couple of issues with collision detection on the rocks -- the player couldn't pass through some edges but could on some others, and the truck just rolled over everything.
Good entry!
hi, good job on development. Art work is very nice, animation could have been improved. Also more night scary sounds like chirping etc. would have added to the environment. Some other alive thing would have made this more amazing ( like frogs, cats etc. ) if not enemies. One thing I was not able to do is drop stuff.
Nice job! great art and very good gameplay! :D
Looks and plays very nice!
Like the idea and take on the theme, as well as the mechanics of survival, a bit too hard for me, but really worth the try
I really liked it. Lost 2 times, and the 3rd I beat the game. Very nice. I think the sound effects would be better if they sounded like the tank being filled, just for some clarity. Overall really nice! (I did avoid the rocks at the start :) )
Wow that was a lot of fun! Solid entry, the graphics were good the gameplay was good. I really enjoyed it!
I didn't play the game directly but watched a stream. I liked the small details, like the fact that you can't refill your air tank if you're out of fuel, and the arrow pointing at your truck if you get it outside of the screen. The game looked a bit easier than I thought, tho... But impressive work anyway!
I think there are little bugs left here and there, for example I pressed play again and the player couldn't pick up stuff.. it was like he was already holding something but actually he didn't have anything in his hands. Adding colliders to rocks would have made it better. Having something that tells you in which direction the base is would improve the gameplay, in my opinion. That said, congrats for you game, because the graphics and sounds are on place and well done. I liked how the sound of the truck changed as you jumped on it. I always give the advice of not putting long text before the game, really, most of the people just want to play: make it short, like a single sentence and add more information in the game itself if you want to tell a story. Anyway, the game in itself is complete of features, it just need to be polished a little more. Even after suggesting you this much, I tell you that I enjoyed playing it, well done :)
Cool concept. Nice entry!
Love the game mechanics and 3d models! Will like to have some music and to be able to collide with rocks
enjoyed the mood in this game!
I really enjoyed this game! I felt it to be pretty well balanced, and I loved that you put a reminder as text what controls to use for what, I always am so confused when games have a bunch of controls and don't do that, and the arrow indicating where the car is was also great UI, the graphics are pretty, lighting adds a good mood and the idea is fun and fit the theme well :) (I know that's not a requirement for LudumDare, but still ^^) If you want to continue to work on it, I might have enjoyed a little hint where the trash is, like in witcher 1 when you press a button and see it highlighted or like a compass that roughly points you in a direction like in skyward swort oooor if you don't like that, maybe add a minimap where you can see at which places you've been before? then maybe make the trash respawn but like trash being more likely to be found in areas you didn't explore before or something (and make a minecraft like infinite world, where every 100 meters or so those trash selling places can be found) oh, also maybe add a subtle silent and minimalistic music, that can add a real touch to games like that and can put and emphasis to this sad "beautfy" of being lonely in a broken world :) there's a lot of great free stuff out there and the artists also enjoy the shoutout! :D
all in all a great entry, congrats for finishing your game! :)
I have found a little bug, when climbing the rock by accident, I got teleported outside the map where everything was blue - it didn't look like a better place :) But even with a few bugs there, the game was nice, I spent a lot of time playing, thanks.
It got really intense when I hit $650 and I was low on fuel!
Love the character and car design. Trash attachments system works great too!
Things to improve (imho): - better car controls & physics - car collisions - minimap (why not?) - fix diagonal speed to a normalized value - ideas for gameplay features: other scavengers/monsters (for pve) | time factor | physics puzzles | car upgrades | loot scanner | some other resource management | etc.

Hi Hagge! I tried to play your game live on my channel but for some reason it broke the stream. I will try it again today without audience and give you a rating when I've finished. What I've seen so far, the balancing of resources is a nice touch, the hardest part for me was trying to find my way back to the zone where I could sell 😅
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!
If you’d like to rewatch the playthrough, you can find it here:

Good luck on your ratings, see you next LD! :D

A Cool Game. The mechanics are solid and the arrow for the Card indication is totally helpfull. It's harsh to die immediatly when you run out of oxygen but thats kinda ok. The Game is a bit too dark in my opinion but fits in the theme of your game.
Overall a nice Game. Well Done.
Once I realised you could drive the car, I enjoyed it a lot more and found it was a bit more strategy involved. Sometimes found it hard to know at a distance if items were things to pick up or not. Good effort - the balance between O2 vs Fuel gave some depth.
