Just letting you know the itch link pulls up a 404.
404 in the windows link, please fix this asap
@decadedecaf @pedromgdo Thanks, I hope i have fixed it now
Link is fixed. Just tried the game, gotta say, the way you take off without fuel is amazing, lots of potential in this game.
I really like the concept, it's pretty unique. That said, it damn near impossible to aim, at least for me. I only got a few pickups, and that was by accident. I could never actually hit one when I was aiming for it. Maybe a direction indicator could help or bigger pickups? That said, it was a good idea and good execution.
Yup, fixed! The game is really creative, nice work.
Really cool idea, love the unconventional method of travel. I don't think I once hit what I was aiming for though! I do really like the fact the game had a menu too, a lot of people (myself included) tend to skip that. Makes a game feel more complete.
really liked this! Would be a great mobile game, that I'd see myself wasting a lot of time on!
Fun game and a cool idea. It made me laugh when you build up a lot of speed and you're spinning really fast.
This fits the theme really well. It is just very hard to gain fuel, since it is very hard to predict where the space ship will fly off to when jumping off a planet. It seems the space ship flies off to the right. I think it would be easier to aim if it would fly off to where it points to. The space ship looks like an arrow so it would make sense I think(?) :D You could also make some planets provide a little bit of fuel, just like some provide oxygen. This way the start of the game would be a little bit easier since it is easier to hit planets than fuel packages.
@tobias-froihofer Thanks for an informative resopnse! I think it is better to launch the rocker in the dircetion of it´s vector´s velocity because it feels more "natural". Oh, yes, there are actualy already some fuel planets( brown asteroids with lakes of fuel) but due to a bug( in previous version - I have fixed it in [Bugfixed] releases) the rocket had 0 fuel capacity on the start, so it was impossible to gain more fuel. But i like that you got to such thoughts too. To some extent it proves integrity of the game´s idea. You are welcome to try the Bugfixed version of the game. In the future I would like to do a Post-LD version.
Using the momentum physics is a really great idea. It felt pretty tight too :) Good job
THe way you implemented the theme is really nice. It's quite impossible to aim anything for me but the gameplay is interesting. I'm pretty sure you can make a good little game with this idead!
I liked the gameplay of spinning the planets to build your power to lift off. The different types of planets were nice as well. It seemed like one time I was able to control the direct of the rocket after lifting off, but I couldn't ever figure out how to do it again.
Interesting idea. It was really hard to go in any direction I wanted. Flying off in a random direction and hoping I would hit something useful was more successful than trying to aim. The out of oxygen text does not appear in the html5 version if not fullscreen leaving me confused for a while when the game suddenly froze. Also the text by the spaceship is hard to read when spinning around a planet.
Some of the text of the game was off the screen. It was quite hard to aim the ship, and the number of simple planets in the way killed me from lack of oxygen.
Solid idea, but too hard in its current iteration. The few times I managed to get some fuel it was fun steering the ship and having some more control. Aiming for the jump feels very unfair and results in a lot of unfun runs that end too soon due to a lack of oxygen. I also wish escape wasn't used to go to menu, as it kept pushing me out of fullscreen mode on the web.
Cool idea, different types of planet were nice. It's quite hard to go in direction you want to go, better to go random and hope to hit something cool XD
