known issues- text is fuzzy. no inventory display. no sound effects.

never done a tilebased unity game before, learned a lot. overall had a good time, but I think I will stick to procedural content in the future.

timer doesn't get reset unless you actually reload the page

A very nice game !

purpoappo 2019-10-09 17:20

Cool game with decent art.

@purpoappo I'm much happier with the character sprites than the backgrounds.

...Dink Smallwood!!!?? These can't be coincidences.

Anyway, the humour was pretty humorous and the save mechanic being more like a teleport was nice, especially with the way it was introduced. Nice work with all the effort in the dialogue!

Cool game. If only I could figure how to go through doors.

Fun! I got stuck inside tiles a couple of times (a gravestone and, weirdly, the river) but loading with Q makes it pretty easy to get back out :)

quin 2019-10-10 00:54

@flying-dog-fish I didn't have a chance to go back and make a closed door sprite, which should explain most of your confusion

@misterkeefe still wrestling with Unity's 2d physics.

@aileron I didn't play Dink Smallwood, but remember seeing ads for it. And the whole game came from wanting to play with this "loading a save doesn't affect the player" mechanic.

Cool and fun, some few bugs where I got stuck

milestone-games 2019-10-12 19:01

Super fun! Managed to get stuck inside a tree, but was able to reload. I like the large world!

There was much heart put into this! Delightful dialogue and a pleasant world that really makes you want to explore with each interaction. Each NPC was fun to talk to but a jerk character or bad guy upfront might be good to suck the player in for some conflict.
