As others mentioned, there is no Windows version under the provided link. There is only MAC version in the archive.
Hey, @a-bond @kazatan and @fabula-rasa, sorry about that fixed the download, should be working now!
@ty-victorson i'm glad i played it! Nice little experience! I was walking around thinking the trees were really cool but it would have been nice with colour. I slowly understood what was going on (although i wasn't sure what the block after the bridge gave you?) and the "pie chart" pickup made me :open_mouth:. It was a really nice surprise and everything looked so cool.
I really liked the level design too - as in the path you have to take and the way it's laid out infront of you.
I didn't get any audio when i picked up the speaker. Did you just run out of time or is that a bug i've experienced? I should also note, on my second run through i missed the bridge jump and when I hit the water the game crashed to desktop! Thankfully I made the jump the first time through!
It would be nice to have some sort of text (or other UI indication) of what each pickup gives you and the controls you can use.
Congrats on the game overall
@kazatan thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool concept, the idea of building up aspects of the game itself is neat, and I like that both the next objective and the path to it were clearly conveyed. Nice vibe too though the lack of sound detracts from that a bit (I also didn't get any audio after picking up the audio object). Was a bit frustrating to miss that bridge jump and have to restart though - the jump was really finicky for me, I just sort of brute forced my way over the bridge the first time, and later it seemed like I could only jump when I wasn't moving, but it was pretty inconsistent.
@adhesion thanks for the feedback! I didn't have time to make sounds so that's why nothing happened there, as for the bridge i ran in to the same issue. I'm looking to fix both in a after jam build!
Running and walking is very slow, but rotation is too fast, you sure you put input into Update and physics into FixedUpdate? Jumping while running did not work well too, and the game closed after I fall off instead of restarting or going to check point. Lack of music was taking off a huge part of the game as other already said. On the good side, I liked that the task was very clear and place to go was marked with a red beam thats neat
I didn't get any sound too and I needed time to realize jumping was possible over certain conditions.
Okay, I really didn't understand what message this game was trying to convey :D I have to complain that the beginning is really too slow, and I only managed to walk over the bridge on a third attempt after some frustration, and even then I didn't manage to jump, as it was very random, so I had to walk over the edge, and managed to do it without jumping :) Overall, the level design is okay and it could contain some interesting story, but I'm sorry that I failed to understand what the Truth was :)
Thanks for the feedback! As i mentioned before i didn't have time to add sounds, I will look into everything that was mentioned!
