I don't understand the goal and is there any way to restart?
the need for alt tab just felt un pollished, but the game was super cool
@william-derksen The goal is to launch the train with the proper amount of speed so it can stop in time at the station. To much speed and it will overshoot it's destination to little and it won't make it.
Unfortunately no way to restart it working on fixing that.
@winslow Ah! Gotcha! I kept going so fast I didn't realize haha! I'll give it another shot!
@william-derksen and @nachtwitch I fixed it so now it reloads after a success or failure. The web version is the most current: https://uecasts.com/files/rickity-rails-ld45/
Rebuilding the standalone windows app now.
The idea is fun, but I would have liked a bit more then one level.
@jk5000 totally agree. It was a mad dash to get everything done in time for the compo submission.
Tonight and tomorrow I'm going to put together an additional level or two and make it playable outside of the compo rating.
Good idea some relaxing to see train run, physics was great. Add change camera view with mouse and some different environnement that's the way.
While the point was to end at the station, there was some satisfaction watching the train blast past the stop and smash beyond the tracks.
Cool idea, although as said previously it's frustrating there's only one level ^^' Initially I launched too hard and failed, and after that I accidentally launched at very low speed, and as mentioned it got stuck! Third time was perfect though, and once I got the speed right I successed several times in a row :)
The train could slow down faster if it's already going slow - launched one at slowest setting and it just kept going forward without failing. As mentioned before, smashing the train wass fun and silly, I liked the track physics.
The idea and graphic is fun. The game would be better if the physics is further polished.
