Very interesting game! The mechanics are unusual and intriguing, it's not often that you see a game like this in a jam. The visuals are quite nice, as are the music, sounds and writing. I played two rounds, one that ended very quickly and one longer one and really enjoyed it. Is there an end to the game besides having no more heir?
Hello @erkberg and thanks for your comment ! The game is like and endless mode, we wanted to have a leaderboard at the end but sadly we ran out of time ... Nice to hear that you enjoyed the game :)

Hey, nice to see another french team around here ^^
I see you are students from Angoulême, were you among the students showing their games during the VEF?
Your game is really great. One flaw: the font you have chosen makes things hard to read, but apart that, it's a good entry :)

Makes me think a lot of Reigns. Some of the event dialogue was confusing; it could definitely use a proofreading/editing pass. I'll also admit it's sometimes hard to tell male and female characters apart, and characters will often appear in their portraits without hair. Overall pretty solid, but it could use some polish (not to mention some actual explanations of what the different stats mean).

Enjoyed the game, reminds me of Reigns (a game for Android). The font felt a little hard to read sometimes, but otherwise very well made game.
Thank you all for your feedbacks!
Yes, well guessed @xahell, some of us have indeed presented their games during the VEF ! ;)

@kebableykan Small world :p
I was in the crowd, and I later met the team with the special plane controller and the team doing the "don't look" game.
@xahell ahah yeah indeed! I actually work on don't look and also on the feel-good RPG (merci de rien) with @bomb-x !
@pixscope @banzi Thanks a lot for your feedbacks ! That was a fun weekend for all of us, thanks for playing !
@kostasvs Reigns was on of our influences, alongside the Guild. Thanks for you comment :)

The concept is very unique, and it seemed like there was a lot of content in terms of random events and randomly generated people.
When I lost (no heir) I still had a bunch of unmarried people. Were they all the wrong gender then? Some random event set my blue-red-black-white icon to 0 and another set it to 100, so I kind of started to ignore that deciding it was very random. It would be nice if the random event outcomes showed me the status change.
It was interesting to see the dialogs of things happening, but it was hard to decide what I should be trying for (other than money I guess).
I think the hearts were related to the number of children, but I wasn't entirely sure what the symbols meant.
@p0nce Thank you for your comment ! We decided it would be fun to keep a strong and fun french mood. @almost Thanks a lot for your message ! Unfortunately we run out of time to make that clear in the game ... You have money, influence(the %number) which triggers different events, and the hearts are related to the number of children the couple will have. We should write a text-tutorial on the itch page. Thanks a lot again !
I had a lot of fun playing the game but here is my critique:
The idea of the game is quite nice. Building your own family tree with aseries of events sounds like a promising concept but unfortunately it has not been explained a lot. For your next games you should really consinder trying to improve with tutorials and explanations. Walls of text are also very irritating sometimes and would be much better if supported with some icons or symbols.
I still enjoey the game, and am looking forward for more! :)
Just died at the first run because my only child was homosexual :p But the next run was really fun to play. Nice idea that indeed fit the theme. The graphics could be improved with only a few things (the button to validate, to add a new husband/wife, etc) but it's already impressive for a jam game, well done!
Very very cool. You should polish it and make publish it as a full game.
That was quite fun, pretty good writing for such a short amount of time! Definitely reminded me of the best parts of Crusader Kings 2. Can't wait for the DLC :D

Very nice mechanics for a game. Too bad there isn't really an ending and its not clear what influence is useful for.
Awesome entry with an amazing art direction.
There's a huge sensation of ownership while managing your tree, but, wish i could have more control over the heritage (i don't know if there's a hidden math behind the scenes evaluating the characteristics of the couples i'm matching).
The random events are something interisting, and you should use that opportunity to put randomly one of your characters within the roles of the events and also add pictures to show the best of your art style into complete procedural scenes with the faces of you proceduraly generated characters (i think that they are procedural).

Really impressive!! I really liked this game, every event is so well written, there's a ton of variety!. Modifiers like dumb, ugly, felt really original since they led to consequences. It's a really complex game! I'd love to see it improved. UI needs some rework and voice acting would've been awesome. Also a game with this mechanics but with another angle, like for example seeing how each prince/princess/king creates cities and stuff in a city simulator would've . been awesome. Great job!
@webox @ivan-garcia-filho @bar @seizethedia @jacqueslelezard @geist-191 Thank you all for your feedbacks, it means a lot for us ! We struggled a bit when trying to find an idea for the game, it's really nice to see that we made the good choice with this one ! Sorry for the late answer and thank you so much again.
