A solid entry overall. The ambient soundscape really helped sell the feeling of loneliness and mystery. I did feel it was annoying how your shots went slightly higher than your aiming reticle, however.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → BioTech Inc.

Finished without shooting. But yeah, took a lot of damage.
I find overall a nice game, the wasd move+mouse shoot/aim is a confortable control mechanic, easy to get and use. As i found better to avoid the enemies than kill them (pretty expensive shoots), i had quite the fun avoiding theme running from one side to another. Olé zumbi tonto!
The innovation is mostly set in the use of the jam's theme, and it's quite the price you pay (one of the reasons i decided not shoot). There is plenty of health though you can sell, but as the enemies also do lots of damage and i am very clumsy, it was a worthy strategy.
The graphics are good and fit the sound choice for a lonely mission and all, but i preffer some death metal for such. I guess the choice for only a background made a decision for mood setting in the end.
I think the only annoying thing is that when you open a door you can just see what is inside after you enter it, making sometimes you stumble on a zombie waiting there for you. In my opinion the content should be visible as soon as the door open, but i dont know the complexity of such implementation.
Interesting concept and loved the RE vibe it gave about how you could just avoid the enemies. It could benefit from having more kinds of enemies or even environmental traps and such. Good job. :)
I love the graphics and the gameplay !
@paulo-brunassi for some reason when I play the game it runs at like 200 fps its too fast, how to fix this?
Hello @digitaldude555, can you please try to change the 'AlternateSyncMethod' to 0 on the options.ini file? It might fix it. What OS are you using?
windows 10 and changing that option fixed the fps @paulo-brunassi
Very cool game! Really felt like a survival horror game, exchanging ammo for health.
Solid presentation, core gameplay and athmosphere! The game could have used an extra enemy faster than the player to enforce the use of the mechanic some more or a final challenge that has you balancing it on the fly, but it's a neat entry nonetheless!
Thanks @jam373, @peringo agreed! I had a lot of ideas for enemies, projectile enemies, some faster etc. But I didn't had the time. Maybe someday I get back and continue to develop the game, thanks for the feedback and for playing the game.
Wow, incredible what you can do in so little time! :O
Thank you very much @cursedembassy =)
Nice game. I liked the idea of adding a story to the game too.
You have done an amazing job alone. The pixel art graphics were great and the theme was integraded very well. Great job.
Well done! The controls were easy to handle and the visuals were great. I think the player moves a little too fast (or the zombies move too slow). You may want to normalize the movement vector to avoid moving faster when moving diagonally ;) Good job!
Well done. The atmosphere is nice, I also like the graphics and the smooth controls. But it was way to easy. I just walked trough without a single shot.
Great job! This game has thick atmosphere, nice art, and a fun core loop. Unfortunately, it was a bit to easy and got a bit stale after a little while. On the whole, very polished and nice job!
This looked and felt great! Difficulty was pretty good for an LD game. Balancing health and energy worked really well, and level design was good.
The biggest thing I can think of to improve this would be having a few more enemy types to deal with - I expected a bit more of a ramp-up as I unlocked each door.
Nicely done! The power/life mechanic balance made me approach each area cautiously, knowing I couldn't afford to miss. The art was great overall, though the animation on the main character felt a bit off. The level design is good.
