Liked the song! I felt wishing that I had some sort of choice in how the prospecting happened. Like some sort of rock-paper-scissors type of thing for getting/losing scrap.

I enjoyed seeing if the robot would be able to build another. Some type of mechanic for prospecting would be cool though.

jedineeson 2019-04-30 04:32

Cool music!

@dilauraba @errantlime @jedineeson Thanks for playing :)

@dilauraba @errantlime Yeah! I wish I had the time to implement actual mechanics. The only mechanic currently in place is a random event where you have the choice to turn your scrap into turns for the current robot, at a loss.

@dannn It’s a pleasure, go check our game I would love to get your comments my friend!

pyoid 2019-04-30 07:39

This is a well made game, fits the theme really well too! If possible please rate and check out my game, thanks! ;)

banzi 2019-04-30 07:59

The game needs more buttons (take inspiration from Stanley Parable ;)). The audio is good.

@pyoid @banzi

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

@pyoid I really like your game. Left some thoughts on the page.

@banzi Actually never played this game despite it's fame. Gonna check it out.

Great music and idea, it fits the theme well! I made it to generation 9! now my generation 4 roomba feels old :(

Yeah, the slot machine description isn't very far off. It's total random chance (the factory events are too rare to really matter, and are always a bad deal anyway) combined with stock Unity UI. Maybe let the progeny be built at any time, to add some strategic risk (or at least get some original textbox graphics).

What an old-school feeling - I like it! :D

riddhee-dutta 2019-05-01 17:28

Ayy nice game man had a great time playing it.

yearnfulnode 2019-05-01 17:45

i love sacrificing robots to the scrap motherland.

overall, i really like the concept and the sound design is ace. i feel like it would've benefited from being an idle game, though-- would've been nice to be able to just leave the game running while i manage resources and see how far it goes than pressing a button. would definitely come back though- at least to see how far i can go.

The ideia was good, but I was waiting for more interation. Even maybe with a little of graphics on the background could help us here.

Congrats with your entry!

The music is great. I think it would be interesting if you could choose how much scrap to use when constructing a new robot and then use leftover scrap for upgrades, possibly to improve your chances of finding scrap while prospecting. If the upgrades were only for the current robot, it could introduce a decent amount of strategy in choosing how much scrap to save and what robot you should pool your resources into.

@stevenjmiller

Thanks a lot for playing and for the ideas, man. I'm a fan!

oune 2019-05-04 09:53

Interesting idea but it feels to much like a slot machine (as you described it) for me. Some strategic options would have been nice. The music is excellent though!

masterkrepta 2019-05-07 00:52

The concept is interesting. I agree it does need some strategy options to make it more then just the slot machine.

I liked it! :) The gameplay reminds me of "A Dark Room". I reached the 11th generation 8-)
