Man, thats pretty

raphael-maia 2019-04-30 01:15

The sound is good, the controls feels good and the graphics are awesome. A little bit to easy for me though

2019-04-30 01:44

I love it! Too bad though you didn't had time to put the game over screen and the in game menu

lshiro 2019-04-30 01:44

I kind of fell in love with the graphics, and the gameplay is simple, but efficient. Great experience overall, although I cleared it on first try.

hermitao 2019-04-30 03:14

Thanks for the feedback, @raphael-maia , @lshiro and anonymous commenter! It's amazing to know that people I don't even know are playing our game.

no-grapes-games 2019-04-30 05:09

The art is great! The controls are very responsive. It felt good to just jump and run around punching bone boys. The music was driving me nuts but I can understand why it was so limited. Overall a really well cared for piece of work. Good JOB!

zampi 2019-04-30 06:24

The art is truly amazing!

rodstar 2019-04-30 06:38

Nice ! Congrats ! Love the art and the control !

davidpixel 2019-04-30 09:26

Really liked the art and the enemies progression, at first I got the idea of having too much health but when you discover the upgrade mechanic it totally makes sense, for that reason I think I will start the game by letting the player choose and upgrade or by making the first wave shorter. Good job!

bigwhiteshogun 2019-04-30 11:24

Ok I think this is my fav game so far. Amazing visuals, great sound, smooth controls. Love it.

hermitao 2019-04-30 16:59

@no-grapes-games thank you!! A lot of love was invested in this. About the music, at first I really wanted to make an amazing orchestral soundtrack for the game, I focus in music. Programming and balancing got all the time tough, and I had time just for one song, and a very, very rushed one. I'm happy with it tough, given the circumstances. And about the art, @Greon is amazing, isn't he? He's the one in charge of most visuals, I'm very proud of what he has done for our game.

hermitao 2019-04-30 17:01

Thank you guys too, @zampi, @rodstar, @davidpixel for the amazing comments and feedback. @bigwhiteshogun , I played your game, and DAMN, it's cool. You guys are incredibly talented, keep making games.

Awesome game loved summoning my clones and beating down on those weird shadow guys. Just a suggestion maybe add in blocking or a way to dodge quickly I found it hard to dodge attacks. Good work!

mza 2019-04-30 19:10

Cool beatemup with awesome pixel art. You should consider adding more feedback when get hit or get hurt to make it feel meatier - like particle effects or a screen shake. Also, what happens if your out of health?

The summon your clone thing reminds me of Dragonball Z and Naruto lol.

dinorex 2019-04-30 19:19

Finished your game but it was not easy! Beautiful graphics and interesting survival gameplay. But controls.. a little bit difficult to press "Z" when you trying avoid attacks) Anyway, thanks for this expirience! You made a cool game)

z0rlog 2019-04-30 19:32

Amazing art on levels that creates really great atmosphere, liked characters animation. I'd say the game could be improved with increasing intensity of the enemies, sometimes game feels quite slow. Good submission though!

greon 2019-04-30 22:13

@spooky glad you liked it! about the blocking, we do had it planned, we actually had the sprites, but couldn't do it at time, we'll be looking after it in future!

@mza i'm happy seeing that most of you guys liked the art, as it was so fun for me doing it, and yeah, i do think that it needs some kind of warning that you're hitting or being hit, thank you for the feedback! well, if your health goes empty, you die. Your girlfriend too, so don't die haha.

@dinorex so good to see you guys liking our first game, yeah, the controls need to be worked on, i know it, some way to dodge and thing, but thank you for bringing that to us!

@z0rlog ooh, thank you, i loved drawing and animating them, think it could be done better, and will do it. we're also going to improve and balance difficulty, thank you for the feedback!

kichex 2019-05-01 01:14

Well done guys, the controls feel tight but I think it would be nice to see more platforms to jump a little bit more.

ursagames 2019-05-01 04:14

Once the stream is finished you can find the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos If you want to know when it was played you can find your game in the queue here: https://tinyurl.com/y5rdokvp

mrstari 2019-05-01 18:47

i would test the game again if the controls be fixed. The graphic and the art are nice! :hearts:

narrenschlag 2019-05-09 21:08

I love the art! I would love to get to know the artist for this game. But the gameplay has to be omptimized, - The attacks feel like they got no impact at all(No effect, no screenshake, no sound) - The enemies can simple be outrunned - The Controlls should be optimized

But after all a very solid entry. I wish you guys the best of luck for the future! :P

webox 2019-05-09 22:07

Amazin artwork! what I can tell you:

* Music get super repetitive * Not the best keys to play, since the are under wasd, thus not allowing oyu to move and attack effectively * Enemies are easy to kill since you just hit and run, maybe make them faster and add the ability to block or parry

Other than that, beautiful! Solid entry. Great job

greon 2019-05-09 22:56

@narrenschlag hey there, i'm the artist haha, glad you guys liked that much the artwork, about the gameplay, we're working on everything that was missing on this entry, things like impact on hit are already ingame and enemies are beign worked on. And Thank You! Great luck for you in your future projects too!

@webox There we are with the artwork again lol, I'm super happy you guys enjoy it. About the game, we do know the music can get obnoxious, on the latest versions we have worked on it. About the keys, you're suposed to play with the arrow keys, not WASD, i think we din't made that very clear. Thank you for the feedback!

I like this, this is neat. Everyone's said this a billion times but the art, animations, and general aesthetics are great. Particularly love slappy black demon man. The core gameplay loop is entertaining (kept me going to the end), but I think it could be worked on a bit more if you want to expand upon this in the future:

- There's not really a ton of feedback for when a hit lands except for the hit thump sound. This applies to both your hits, as well as monster hits. This is another reason tall man is my favorite--his hit causes both a visual effect (camera shake) and a bit of knockback. I think more of the enemy attacks should be tuned similarly (and maybe have the player's attacks do a stun or a knockback as well) - The play field is very long, and I don't know how valuable that is. If anything, it makes cheesing a little bit easier because you can just run back and forth waiting for your powerups to recharge. - As much as I enjoyed using it, the lightning attack is definitely overpowered. Especially once you get the faster recharge, my gameplay style basically became lightning -> run away -> lightning -> run away -> etc - Controls are fine IMO. I rather enjoy how floaty the jump is for example--in a platformer that would be a no-no, but in this style of combat game I think it works well and makes it feel more theatrical

ivan-garcia-filho 2019-05-11 20:34

Awesome entry and addicting, you should enhance the combat juiceness since it's the core experience, add more sfx to the attack like some grunts from the protagonist while releasing the attacks, some "wooshes" before effectively hitting the enemies, add different impact feedback sfx for every enemy (like bones shaking upon the skeleton taking damage for example while the hooded enemy something like hitting a leather bag full of junk) and wrap everything with some random pitchs and random volumes to avoid repetition and some reverberance to add more depth to your scenario...

Add more ambience sfx to the scenes, like howling wind, tree leaves shaking, owls and even crows or howling wolves in the background...

To add weight to the protagonist and the enemies, add some walk cycle sfx (like leather shrugling, a bag os equipments shaking, and some breath), localized footsteps, even if its a 2D game you could change the pan stereo of the sound to add at least some 2D clue and enhance the presence of your enemies and protagonist;

pl4typus 2019-10-08 15:47

hey, seems like the rar file on itch.io is corrupt ? I can't open it with WinRar or IzArc.

hermitao 2019-10-08 16:02

@pl4typus hey, thank you for telling me, I will look into it. Strange, it worked fine.

[Japanese brides](https://mailorderbridesagency.com/japan-women/) are dependable and devoted partners. Despite being brought up in conservative families, they are not spineless creatures. They can build up successful careers, get married and have children - and some of them can do all three at once! But it is important to note that a Japanese woman needs a strong man to support her, and you should be patient and understand that she is much more fragile than you might think.
