Minor gripe, I think after choosing the penalty at the gate you shouldn't have to hit E again to go through.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD43 → The Apostle

I didn't really know what was going on and couldn't get past the gates but I enjoyed the graphics and animation!
@dwarfaparte This is the way it worked at first actually, but it was a little disorienting changing the graphics/view at the same time you get teleported, so I thought it'd be better to first change the view and then let the player teleport, although I suppose that without actual information about that, some people would get confused interacting with the door, seeing it open and then nothing. Thanks for the feedback!
Enjoyable, It could do with some more levels though.
@sockyman Yes, I had everything to make more levels in place, but ended up running out of time because life happened. I'll probably enhance it a little just for fun later on to see where I can take it though :)
it was a pretty fun game, i like the concept of mixing up platformers with penalties.
one thing though is that i had trouble understanding what was going on throughout a large portion of the game, but overall i really enjoyed it!
Also a very interesting implementation of the theme. What happened, when I sacrificed the UX designers soul? In the end I couldn't see much anymore, due to all the shaders, but at least I had memorized the level enough for the RN God to heal me back up. I felt the rolling animation was maybe a bit too long, though of course if you'd made it shorter, it would've been more difficult to get below the laval ball. I'd appreciated either a longer level or more levels though. Also maybe a way to make the game more interesting, like obstacles you have to climb on, or maybe things like springs? Still had fun though ;)
@pancakefriday Thanks for the feedback! Giving the UX designer's soul removes the UI from the screen (the HP and the waters collected). I had intended on making more than one level, and everything was ready for that but ended up running out of time.
The first time around when I didn't realize it was only a single level, losing the colors was horrendous! Didn't even think it'd be so difficult distinguishing holy water from lava. Great job!
@drauce I had made another option that switched the colors making lava look like water and vice versa at some point, but then it didn't make too much sense as a gift to god, and was being canceled by the "Give colors" one so I dropped the idea :p
I love the concept of having to go through the same old easy level over and over again, but with a major handicap every time. You had me laughing my ass off when I gave my glasses, or the UX designers soul, or when I gave gravity. The animations are also pretty nice for a jam game, I didn't expect that. Maybe put up some screenshots on the page here? The jump feels a bit slow, so you really have to time it well, but you get used to that after a few turns. You could also jump a bit higher. Good job on the game and nice work!
Character animation feels a bit sluggish, but i liked the idea and all of possible sacrifices are fun, i couldn't stop till i sacrificed everything :3 Although it would be nice to have more than one level, because even in grayscale it is possible to differ lava and water textures.
@xorboo Thanks for the feedback, I had intended on making more than one level but ran out of time. For the animation, there's no excuse, I'm just not very good at 3D modelling and animations yet :D
Overall, it is a very interesting game. The graphics can improve, the trees, lava and water look nice, but the character looks a little bland. I think the music does not fit with the theme, on the other hand, the idea of sacrifice in the game is amazing. Playing upside down, without focus etc. is something very interesting and that not many games do.
