Its pretty good, the controls feel smooth and the art for the game is amazing! Shame you didn't finish it for the Jam. But I feel this game has great potential and if expanded upon can be great. Good luck!

Visually the game looks good, love the pixel art style and the nice mood lighting. The character is really cool and animates well for movement. Controls are ok, would like some WASD controls but that wasn't a problem. Found it really nice the character could climb up walls. However, I got stuck in holes often without a good way out. Feel like jump could use a bit more range. Maybe even just a nice double jump if anything.
Over all its a decent start for an unfinished project. Screenshot 2018-08-18 00.47.31.png
@darylsteak thanks!
@darkguardsman if you check out the postcompo version there's items to collect that can modify walls and teleport you back to the starting ship. You can actually jump upwards 2 tiles (jump while not moving) and climb from there as well - though there's no way to get to the right of that cave pictured without modifying tiles.
I definitely want to add things to make this more clear to the player, and will be doing so as soon as I get more time to work on it!
It's very polished. I noticed several areas that you put extra effort into (like the screen shake in the beginning, and the use of shaders for lighting and black outlines). I'll checkout the post compo version as well to see what you've added.
@star-garden The polish has actually been my downfall in terms of finishing this one, but has made it easier to "justify" post-compo work on the game, as it looks/feels good even if there's not all the substance I'd like. Double-edged sword I guess
Really like the animations of the character and its pretty cute seeing him climbing. Don't see though how it ties into the theme that much but I think there is some ground upon which to build something pretty interesting.
Really nice artwork
The animations are great!the graphics are good for your game and if you add story,im buying this game Good Luck🍀
Quite impressive graphics!
Great work on the graphics, really caught my eye. It's obvious you put a lot of work into it.
Looks awesome! I would love to play this game if you can port it to mac
liked the graphics and animation!
Impressive graphics , it will be awesome if any music is added. Capture.PNG
Gj on graphics, I see many folks salutes it here and I totally understand why. Nice touch on climb and jump animations, hope to see more, are you planning to update it in the future?
What game was this game made in ?? The graphics are good, the controls are a little bit clumsy but good.
(I played the current post-compo version.)
Well, you already know this, but there's almost nothing to do (unless I missed a lot of stuff?), so I think this actually counts as "not a game". The graphics aren't bad, but the choppy camera was very hard to look at. I like the wall-climbing mechanic, but I really wish there was a way to make my character stop climbing after I accidentally bump into a wall. The controls felt off; for example, after digging through a wall, if I hold right, my character takes a long time to move again, but if I let go of right and press it again, they move sooner. You probably worked hard on this, but there wasn't much to show for it, unfortunately.
Thanks for your kind words folks!
@wolderado you actually _can_ play with the love2d file on mac (and linux) if you download love2d [from here](https://love2d.org) - I just don't have a way to test packaged mac apps currently so I think better to not pre-package something that might not work and cause frustration.
@dasun as it says in-game  its made with love2d, you can learn about it [here](https://love2d.org)
@sengi if i find time I will update it, as I would like to "complete" the project
@sidnoea indeed, there isn't much "game" there yet, and the theme inspiration doesn't show, as a result. There was/is a plan for it, but I got sidetracked which was definitely my undoing this time around. I'm considering writing a postmortem about it - it was actually quite good for me in terms of getting practice implementing lots of different graphics effects, but not so good for the players haha
interesting graphics and nice idea but the control is very hard to get used to.
Not much to add - super nice graphics but as you've noted, not much game! Still a cool concept, and maybe the start of a cool game :grinning:
Thanks for sharing!
