I started, I fell into the water and it stuck plus I was confused at first xD After trying again I found that it was a pleasant experience and I really liked the mechanics of the game! :D Well done! I'd rate it but I can't at the moment so I will when I am able :D

The controls was a bit hard, you should probably make the character jump on key down instead of key up. Fell into the water so many times because I didn't release the key fast enough :) I really liked the mechanics of the game, good job!
A clear objective and jump when space pressed rather than when space released would be nice. Other than that it's a nice game.

at first i dont know what to do, just to realize that the gun made platform on the water, and after that its quite nice, the control fine except the jump, well done !

As other say, you really need to change the jump dynamic (in Unity is GetKey, not GetKeyDown)
I loved the graphics and in overall is a pretty hard and creative entry for this LD42.
Please, release a WebGL build with some tweaks as a Post Jam version!

I agree with the others that it would feel better if the character jumped when you pressed space, not when you released it. An end goal would also be nice, but i did have that in my game so i cant complain! Keep up the good work!

Echoing what everyone else said, the Jumping was very unresponsive. I did like the main mechanic of the game and I think you can build some interesting challenges out of it. It has a nice consistent visual style but is missing audio.
It's a good proof of concept and with some more work could definitely have some fun gameplay.
Also, you forgot to post your source code.

Very cute game with nice graphics! The sound effect is nice to hear as well.
Not really negative points other than the spacebar thing which was already mentioned. And oh yea, I'm kinda disappointed I coulnd't shoot the birds :p

The graphics were really nice, and the idea was good aswell. Awesome job!
The game has nice graphics but it lacks an explanation of what to do. I have drowned about five times until i figure it out that i have to shot the water to create temporary platforms. Other than that i keep on shooting the bird but nothing happened and if i touch it i would die.
Besides this, as i tried the post-jam version, the jump problem seems to be corrected. Good job.
damn that jump button!!!!! seriously tho - fix that and you have a fun game - i really cannot believe you play tested this and did not pull your hair our - maybe you are bald like me? thanks for making the game
I think the graphics are nice looking and the concept is fun.
Like others have mentioned the controls don't feel responsive enough for the type of gameplay being asked and the game description confused me saying "Q & D" to move when it is "A & D" and the lack of explanation on what to do to survive made me died instantly and multiple times because I had no clue. Sometimes the shots would travel far and others very short distance making hard for me to figure out a strategy.
However, I think with a little more TLC, a bigger resolution (if it allows it self), tweaking of the controls/physics to make them more fluid/smooth, and a different goal like "survive X amount of time while the rescue chopper comes to save you" or "find an island before the storm comes and the waves destroy you" would make give this game an edge and hook. :)
Keep at it, I think you have something that can be really fun here.
I need some lore for this game. Why am alone at sea? Why do I have some sort of plant gun? Why are these birds haunting me??? Jokes aside though, people have already mentioned the jump thing and you fixed it. Although I think one could make a case for these kind of jump controls (well, maybe not in this game). But it's like you're "charging" a jump, feels weird at first but maybe it could be cool in certain circumstances. I dunno, I'm open to weird controls, I guess.
I tried cheesing the game by just jumping and shooting downwards which worked surprisingly well, but then I discovered the ultimate cheese.. jumping off screen (it won't kill you). Art looks pretty good and I'm glad there is at least sound for the gun although some more sound would've been nice.
