I seem to be seeing a weird flickering effect that looks like spaces between the sprites appear momentarily. Is this intended, because it strangely sort of sets the mood fairly well?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD42 → Memory Fault

@hello1423 It was not intended (I wish it was :stuck_out_tongue: ) Probably a bug with the new unity tilemap system. Make sure you turn off anti-aliasing when you play the non-web version.
Good concept, it feels like a scene out of a Tommy Wiseau movie, oh hi Mark... or Ben, man I can't remember. Was a bit confusing with the talking, face's would have made it pop more. Is there an ending? I got my phone, but couldn't get past it?
@furtive-pygmy Thanks for the feedback :) There are two endings, the "game" is to figure out how to get to the endings I guess.
Unfortunately, for some reason, I can't talk to Lucy again after I get my phone back - and everyone else just says "Hi Ben!" Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
In any case, the idea that you have limited memory "space" is really unique, quite the interesting way to run with the theme!
Nice idea! The absence of graphics makes the game actually better, as it adds to the feeling of being lost. Going from on person to another to drain the dialogs gets a little cumbersome after a while.
Great game! The idea is absolutely amazing. But I'm not sure if there's some kinda "running out of space" thing. Pretty good job, anyway:)
I really like the concept, it's very creative and the story is interesting. I did get stuck when I tried to interact with lucy after getting my phone back.
I like the idea based on interacting with other people! Cool and interesting dialouges. Like also the jokes.
Actually now that's really new idea I haven't seen yet this LD. Quite well done, you really manage to convey a profoundly confused feeling. I got the ending where I accused Charles.
I couldn't get anything to happen, what are the controls?
The concept is very interesting, but i think it needs some polishing in the implementation, not just as the lack of graphics and sound (which would improved greatly a mostly text-based game) but also de interface and the trigger with the other people. Sometimes it works when im around them, sometimes it doesnt.
@derek-volker you have to be "facing" the NPC to talk to them even though there was no sprite showing you are facing them  In hindsight I probably should have took that out.
Thanks for the honest opinion however I appreciate it. I can definitely see it requires better execution for the idea. I probably should have not spent so much time on trying to write a conherent and compelling story. Probably should have been something funny.
@endurion Thanks for playing the game to the end. I'm very happy that someone managed to finish the story! That ending was supposed be the one that is hard to get to haha.
@elodeon arrow keys + space. It was in the intro dialogue :)
@mateusboga hint: you should try talk to Angela instead
@erendelous it was supposed to be 'running out of memory space'
@jsmcag try talk to Angela afterwards if you decide to play it again
@ace17 Thanks for the compliment! :)
Interesting concept! For this to be really enjoyable I'd love a way to quickly skip the dialog, it's not really tempting to play through the intro more than twice. On my first try, I got the Angela ending, on my second, I got stuck. I really like the minimalist graphics! Interesting interpretation of the theme!
Nice one man! Quite different from other games I have played. Congrats!
A really great idea! I have not played such a creative interactive fiction for long. Great job!
A bug is annoying: sometimes I could not talk to another one, but when I turned to another side, it works. (I play the HTML5 version.) And on my second try, I stuck on every one saying "hi ben" to me and cannot continue.
