Novel idea. As I'm sure you expect from users, there were many combinations that made sense in my head, but not in yours. :) For instance I couldn't do fire and steel. Whenever I got stone I was essentially done, as I couldn't figure out a single combo with stone. But an alright concept if you can figure out a way to not surprise users with combinations that in their minds are missing, or combinations that make no sense, like Mana, for instance.
@mike-inprinciple thank you for your review. You are perfectly right, the combinations should have been fine-tuned more and relevant. 48h game jam when you have personal constraints during the weekend, no time to do too few tests and graphical polishing... Anyway, I have in mind taking time to build a polish version of this concept :)
Echoing the words about the combinations here. I got some things to happen, but could never remember how I got there. A combo guide on the side that filled out as you tried things might be a useful addition if you want to refine the game in the future. Also, I found the constant sounds rather hard on the ears, which is always a danger with BFXR sounds(just guessing, but if not it's a similar effect).
I loved the concept of the game!!!!! Might be my favorite idea so far. Echo the comments from above on gameplay, and maybe some sort of indication of elements that's not the element name and a general color would have been cool.
Whow whow whow very interesting idea. Your game will score innovative pretty high for me. Such a shame there wasnt enough time for polishing, otherwise it could have been one of the most interesting entry in this LD. I really like that you still keep it on point with the theme yet putting in your own twist of the crafting system (or how do you call this kind of game?). Anyway I totally dig this element combination situation. If you really want to learn more and add more to this game, I highly suggest making a clone of some of the big game of this kind, and then turn your game into something similar to that but with a twist. I read a bit of previous comments and there are combinations that people think should be there and you didnt cover, but if you make a clone of something already successful, you will get the basic of element combination and that problem will be fix. Really a promising entry. Keep it up!!
@eatthepath Thanks for the feedback! I thought about a guide for the discovered combinations but preferred keeping the game quite difficult using the time of remembering the good combinations to build combination strategies. About the sound, it is definitely bad. I added it at the very end and I did not find a good way to trigger collision sound based on element speed. I am sorry for your ears.
@comenoha Thank you too for your feedback! I am really glad that you like the concept of my game. Thanks to your comment, I am thinking about a combination hint, like a colored ring system around the elements that would indicate which elements are combinable with.

@Treizive Ah yes that would work. I would also love something like a list of all the combinations you have gotten in the past, so you can remember them later or something similar to that.
I agree with most of the comments above and think it's a really novel idea. But one complaint I have is the audio, when a whole bunch of elements start stacking up it really hurts my ears.
Once I figured out how to affect things (did I miss the instructions) it was a fun game for a while. Can't disagree with most of the comments already provided, although I was fine with the sounds - maybe if I'd played longer it would get annoying, but I thought the sound gave a bit of a retro vibe.
Cool idea. UI could use some polish, though :P
It gets hard to remember all the possible combinations, liked the sound but was a little overwhelming. Nice game overall, keep it up!
This seems like a great idea. It was fun figuring out what went together, although it could be hard to remember them all. I think this could be a lot of fun with all the different effects that different combinations could have. One thing I'd suggest is allowing matches to go just a little bit farther than direct contact, since the physics engine can be unpredictable.
