The link isn't working for me.
Following up to review your game... The link isn't working, mate... I'll check back in in a few hours since you were recently active! I have faith you'll fix this! :)
Hmm i have no idea on why it doesn't work and unfortunately I don't know how to create an executable file :/
I have uploaded an rar. file so give it another try :)
The page couldn't be found in the link you provided here :/
Hmm I honestly don't know what's wrong with it, I tried altering it and changing files and everything...
For me it works perfect everytime

I will try to fix this as best as i can, as soon as I figure out the problem I hate asking this but if you can rate it regardless it would be great since I need it to pass my subject at Uni :))
@ian1337 did you publish your game? is it public on itch? try it with another browser where you aren't logged into Itch.io
@SmokeSomeFrogs it definetly should be as it shows me that i've had 6 downloads
Try this one https://ian1337.itch.io/sam?secret=xGHZY5vE9zVMuH2q6Efor8j34
@ian1337 This link works - your game is not really published, don't know if it was changed due to a bug or something but you should put this link here :)
You don't have payment configured If you set a minimum price above 0 no one will be able to download your project.
This is the message given to me whn editing my game on itch.io @SmokeSomeFrogs
Just set no minimum price - just make it freeolo.png
@SmokeSomeFrogs it was like that since the beggining but it still keeps poping up the same message :/
I will email them to see what the problem is.
You said that the new link works and that is what's most important right now.
Thx a lot for all of your help, much appreciated :))
@Jequed @Sfey guys i placed a new link which seems to be working, pls give it a try now :)
@SmokeSomeFrogs if you can pls try the old link, I think I managed to fix it :)
@ian1337 the old link still doesn't work, sorry
@SmokeSomeFrogs thx anyway :))
@ian1337 Could you please make a build and post that instead since very few people are actually going to download and install game maker to play your game. Many people don't even really play the games that they have to download in the first place.
Just a couple of points to help you with LD entries :)
@ian1337 soooo I downloaded GameMaker 2 (such a pain :'D) and tried to open the game and it opened but you didn't submit the folder with the assets etc. and now there's no game (and a game can't be only 17kb, some Hello World programs are bigger :'D) I tried the extracted rar and the ypp and nothing worked really in the trial version - I hope you are trolling than it would be funny for at least one side, in this situation it's a pain for both xD Good luck

First of all, you managed to make a game in less than 72 hours so you can call it a success. It's not easy and almost all the games uploaded have bugs and errors. This time it is even your first attempt so congratulations!
Following this, I couldn't play it because I don't have Game Maker 2 installed, so I haven't rated it yet ( I will try later). What you have uploaded is the project folder (source code), not a game / application ready for publishing. In order to do so, you should compile, after that you can upload the compiled game and we will be able to play it without having Game Maker 2 (and there will be more people playing it).
This is a tutorial about how to compile in Game Maker 2, it starts compiling from minute 2:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiKGxJLnscQ
I will try to update my Game Maker anyways to try it later. Also, the more jam games you rate, the more you will get rated (thanks for playing mine, by the way)
@AnaGF I've just noticed what my problem is, I cannot create an executeable of a game since i'm using a trial version of Game Maker 2 :)
I will see what it would cost me to upgrade it and get back to you all :)
This got too complicated lol I'm sorry... I don't wish to install GameMaker studio 2, as I am perfectly happy with 1.4.. I did however give you a 3 star rating on all of them, since you put the effort in to update the link. Best of luck mate! Hope to see you next time, with an executable this time :P
i can't play the game so i can't rate it sorry.
Too bad it did not work
An HTML5 build is a great way to make your game more accessible.
@Virtual Window @YuKey0 hopefully by the end of day I should have an exe. available so you can give it a try :)
@Jequed @CursedEmbassy @AnaGF @Sfey @Virtual Window @YuKey0 @Isle 3 Studios THE GAME HAS BEEN FIXED :)
Just played it, it works like a charm.
It's nice. The ennemies are headless lemmings, in the end. :D
Just for confirmation, there are 2 levels ? I cleared the second one and didn't find an exit or any kind of ending. Felt a bit weird.
Otherwise, fun little shooter. :)
Actually it's pretty good (specially for a first game). Once you find the way, you can manage to kill all those enemies. The controls work really fine, it's true that maybe you couldn't make certain things, but that's normal, it's a jam. Well done!
This is an amazing first game! I get the Serious Sam vibe immediately. It's a solid platformer with good controls/physics. You could easily improve on this game adding more weapon variants, player health, etc... that said, I really enjoy the simplicity you have going on. The rapid re-spawn is extremely good for a one hit kill system like you have. Great Job! A+ Work :)
@Poio yes the 2nd level is the final one and there is no end game, jump around to your heart's content :))
This game works quite well. But enemy's spawn in a way that they can easily kill you by falling on your head. Also the enemy's won't change their position once they reached a certain platform, making it easy to kill them from afar. Shooting and dying Animation are looking kind of cool. Good Game!
This game is a mixed bag for me. The game is a fun platformer/shooter with surprisingly satisfying gunplay and controls. This game does have some issues. The enemies could be placed in better spots. Sometimes the game is just waiting for your gun to kill enemies with no risk. Overall, I still gave it a 3.5 because its fun. Good job on making a fun game. If you work on the enemy placement and game design, I would check this game out again for sure!
This was a cool entry. Im always excited to see what people make in gamemaker (due to the fact that i am a unity guy myself) however, for you first attempt on making a game of your own great job. There are a couple small bugs such as falling off the map and enemies instantly killing you but, with enough practice you can develop this games and all your future ones into something great!
Thanks for coming and rating our game!
It's a pretty nice game considering the time constraints placed for this. There's a lot of things you can add on to it if you're planning to release a post-jam version of it. Nice job. :)
Finally fixed! : )
I liked how he was running in the start screen. It was fun but I personally found it a bit hard. The designs were cool. Great job, and nice that you were able to make a working built in the end : )
Congrats on making the deadline!
There are some issues with your game though. First, you often die at the very begining of a level, which is kinda frustrating (and not the good kind of frustration), and two, you can't move, jump and shoot at the same time easily. You should have mapped the movement keys to WASD/ZQSD because when my hand is on the arrow keys, I can't reach Space to jump ;)
Overall, it is a nice game, even if I think it didn't really well fit the theme. Anyway, keep up the good work, and congrats again! :)
Nice game, there's some potential behind if you develop it later with more features. But I feel like Linky439, to me, it didn't really fit the theme.
Hi, I enjoyed a lot the sounds, music and effects ( like the screenshake and bullets dont going straight). The biggest problem I had in the game was the enemies spawning at my head in the start, it's so hard, and they take a lot of time to die, maybe more monsters and less HP? Hope to see more like this in the future!
@Kanacell That's the plan, as soon as learn how to do other features that I wanted to include I will get to upgrading the game :)
@haharo Glad to hear it, unfortunately I made it like that on purpose to make it a bit more challenging since the A.I isn't very clever and the level design was built around it to compensate for it as to make them "spawn" in some areas later based on when you should be able to reach that area to make it feel balanced. But I had some issues and no more time to fix it so it's not as finished as I would like it to be :)
